I love this game so much, but unfortunately I wouldn't be able to know whether the original versions were better than the remastered ones. I only played Mafia 1, the original one, years ago, and only few missions as the CD we had couldn't play past the 4th or 5th mission of I remember correctly... But still I just loved it anyway, and always found myself trying it again hoping it might just be able to pass that mission but no, it never did. But since then it's been stuck on my mind until recently when I purchased the three of them, these newer ones. So far I've been playing the first one, and I've just done the bank mission, I started playing it yesterday, and so far so good, I'm so excited! Can't wait to start Mafia 2 and Mafia 3, got all of them downloaded on my console!

mafia 2 storyline is worse than third one: - faceless protogonist - check. What's Vito motivation, what he wants, why he does what he does? No answear in game, just situations where the main character falls - no story ending. We have 2 hours my ass prologue and opening, but you can run the game for 7-9 hours, whats happens with storytelling? Why a years of life just skipped, what up with the paising? - empy city. Why it is in that story? We have like one shopping for clouth and probably thats it. No side quest, no interesting situations, no any collactables (playboys maybe, but find it in empty city), all that resources that was wasted on empty city should be invested in storyline - ending, there are no ending, its not classy, its not creative, its just bad and unfinished. Long story short, I never understand why everybody loves Mafia 2, poor main character, a big holes in story, bad unfinished ending, empty city etc.. But third one of course is the most hated...

Mafia 2 literally has a whole game mechanic of you manually picking a car's lock. This is unlocked very early into the game. Whereas in Mafia 3 the lockpicking unlocks towards the middle/end to the game and it's not interactive like Mafia 2.

Man Imagine a game starting in Italy where you build your mob, different cars, ppl speak italian etc. Then you take your family over to america to expand, would be so cool if we could smuggle guns to italy and do some money laundry. I hope for more side missions like collecting protection money stealing cars etc. If they could implement the feature from the Scarface game where you would buy stores to "wash" your dirty money. You had 2 amounts of money. Clean money wich you could keep after beeing busted and dirty money wich you would loose. Mafia 2 has a proper lock picking minigame with varying number of pins depending on what door you are opening and how valuable is the car. Number of pins can range from 2 to 5 or 6.

Mafia Remake is the better game as a whole, the storytelling, difficulty, standard transmission, and gunplay are all good. Mafia 2 is my favorite just modifying any early 50s car you want and the little details to make the world feel real, but it's just too short not really that many challenging missions to be considered the best . If Mafia 3 had focused more on the story like the remake did, let you modify any car, and didn't have the terrible reflections/lighting bugs it would've definitely been the better Mafia game

Mafia DE just plays way too similar to Mafia 3 in terms of gameplay and animations. I kinda wish they gave Tommy his own unique animations instead of copying Lincoln when carrying guns and aiming them. The only “different” animations he got was running and his melee finishers (which make sense, he’s a cabbie turned brawler, not a war veteran.) but the other animations such as punching, climbing ladders like nothing, sprinting with a large firearm in one hand? They all came from Lincoln. For one, It’s hard for me to believe that Tommy, a cabbie with no combat experience, can reload a pistol in just one second and run full sprint with a large Thompson in one hand when Vito Scaletta can’t even do it and he was in the Army. It made sense for Lincoln because…well look at him! He’s bulky as hell and he was a soldier in the SPECIAL FORCES DIVISION in Vietnam! I can totally buy him sprinting with a Thompson in one hand! And the ladder climbing? Again, how many ladders does a cabbie climb in his lifetime that makes him jump a few steps super easily? They rebuilt this game from the ground up which is awesome and I loved it, but I just wished they had more time to reconsider how Tommy plays and what he’s capable of doing. He’s not a war veteran, he’s a cabbie turned street brawler, he shouldn’t have the capabilities of Lincoln at all because they’re two vastly different characters. I think they should’ve looked more into Vito’s animations when designing the gameplay for Tommy, they have similar body structures.

В начале первой части мафии напоминает ощущения во второй части этой игры, франшизы) Проходил до моста поездка по городу, это было время в начальных классах, но вторую часть полностью прошёл и мне вторая часть понравилась и стала моей любимой игрой) Первая часть, только для тех классных ощущений как в 3 части мафии)))

I am playing remastered Mafia 1 right now. I should say that is a really great part of the trilogy. But my first love is the second Mafia. I have passed it more than 5 times, it was a real impression)

My favorite mafia game is Mafia 2, I think it's very similiar to GTA IV A lot of realism and very good playing Would be nice a better graphics improvement

Mafia 3 was a great visual achievement but unfortunately, and this is purely my opinion, people felt they abandoned Vito (I forget if that's his name or not) and the main story line to make a woke statement. It isn't my prejudice projecting but you don't simply change a character so drastically as they did with Mafia 1 & 2. Different race, different political challenges, etc. All that aside, Mafia 3 really had good mechanics.

I love playing mafia 2 in 2010, the first game I played mafia series, I like how Vito earns and spends the money, the price of items increases due to inflation from 1945 to 1951, he gets a job every morning, It is too real!

I'll never understand why they make a definitive edition (remake) for Mafia 2 and 3 !! Both original games was having a great graphics!! Maybe greed!

To be honest. I never played a game twice. But that remake made me. It is absolutly a masterpice :) no one can do it better.

I grew up playing gta Scarface and the godfather but I skipped out on mafia. I’m going through them now and was a little disappointed to see mafia 1 DE had better graphics than mafia 2 DE

For me 3wins because it have more stealth actions,stealth kills ! Period ! Plus good quality music
