The explanation on the bits of 古語 grammar were very useful. The contracted ん bits had me scratching my head for a whole year now haha. I did notice a weird inconsistency but I never quite pinned down when it was meant to be positive or negative, especially in scenes with characters having different speaking styles. Cheers dude loved it!

How were you using these videos? Just listening to explanations? Or writing down each new vocab and learning it after the video using anki etc.? Or, perhaps, shadowing every sentence after it was explained?
@joaquinromeroday719422 күн бұрын
@KateikyoshiDX mostly just watching/listening to the on repeat. They really helped get a grasp on some early vocabulary and expressions.

So grateful for this resource! Being able to comprehend the sentence when it's replayed after the explanation is so satisfying as a beginner. Between this and daily anki I've really started to pick up on common words and grammer patterns.

Dude you explain these sentences so clearly. Really makes sense of the language for me. Thank you so much for making these videos

Matt, you are a GEM. I've been obsessed with your videos these last few weeks. They're so good! So much so that your voice has now had a "Tetris effect" on my brain, and when i read a sentence in Japanese that i can't understand, I hear your voice in my head explaining the different parts and it really does help me understand it more easily! Is that weird? Anyway, you rock. Thank you for the incredible amount of work you put into these videos. ❤

Great stuff as always! Having this as a reference dissect some of the older and more opaque language in this game is super useful!

The old language bit of the intro was quite interesting honestly, as someone that plays various JRPGs with a lot of talking styles.

I dont know why I laughed my ass off when the old storyteller, with serious archaic language, all of a sudden uttered "MoaNsta Raiida" 😂

@GameGengo aegis rim :D I really think it was a great one, vocab was good, not too fancy, not too weak, very n3 like. I just wish to stay in Japan enough to visit your convention haha. I wanna go Fukuoka. Sorry not rich enough to sub right now but I swear my first big money I'll support with all might. I'll be back anyway 7 months remains trying to be an English teacher but as I've no degree past wvh might be tougher but I got another plan if god will it. Thanks the amount of food I ate watching your show that's so good, especially cause it's for the real people, good niche you'll survive AI cause it's a great format.

Great video! Just a note that you can save screenshots during some cutscenes on the Switch with the share button. You can also hold the share button and record a video of the last 30 seconds. Pretty sure this is similar on the PlayStation but I think you have to confirm?

These videos are awesome. Is this all the cutscenes in the game or just the beginning? I don't wanna watch the whole video before playing if that's all of it, because spoilers. xD
