I want to make the point that, in the image of 5 heads it almost looks as if the “second light” actually is just a part of the light in the left eye (the eye to the right from the perspective of the viewer). Depending on how you photoshop the image to see the light, it almost appears bright enough to be it’s own light but in darker versions of the image (go to 11:14) you can see that it actually likely is not.

Fun fact: the noise used for a flatline doesn't really occur when the patient dies, that's a myth caused by media needing a clear indicator for audiences to recognize since flatlines are silent, that noise *actually* happens when the leads are disconnected(which would support the theory assuming Scott knew this bit of information)

I totally believe the "Cassidy Afton" theory. It would explain why William was panicking while being chased by the fifth spirit. It was his own son coming back to haunt him. Any dad would have been terrified by that. Also, the "hospital" argument. The IV bags might be there, but it's still in the Afton household, therefore, Afton could have experimented on the body of his son after he died.

I'm not at all surprised that he came back for this episode. He said specifically that it wasn't a complete retirement, and that he'd still be involved. Idk if anyone will see this, and I'm probably not right about this, but who's to say that the Crying Child died in an actual hospital. In real life, when there's situations where someone's most likely not going to live, sometimes the family can request to just have them and basic medical equipment moved to the home, My Mom's side did this when my Grandfather had a brain tumor and was in a coma, so there's a possibility that, assuming this takes place in Hurricane just like the Books version did, that he requested that, allowing for the flatline to take place in a secluded place. I don't know how much it helps but since it's something that probably needs to be taken into account, I figured I'd share even if it probably won't be seen.

One of the things I think might happened is that the crying child was bitten of golden Freddy and basically killed by him, unlike Cassidy because she was killed by Afton and put inside of golden Freddy. That is a theory because of the “happiest day” like you said there was only 6 children. I feel like the crying child was trapped and Cassidy could actually go out of the animatronic. To me, Golden Freddy’s “two glowing eyes” has always looked like just one glowing eye, and the other one only looks lit up because of the angle combined with the light from the other eye. In the other animatronics, their glowing eyes have a sort of ring of light around them, but Golden Freddy’s right eye is the only one with the ring

Honestly, the flatline kind of works with DPT's theory, since it wouldn't just go off if the child is dead. If Afton did take the Crying Child out of the hospital to try and get his soul to live on as Golden Freddy, disconnecting him from the life support systems would also cause them to flatline. And the fact that it happens immediately after he says "I will put you back together" seems pretty damning.

As someone who monitors cardiac monitors in hospitals, this makes sense to me. We use a 5 lead and removing even 1 lead can cause a "flat line" even if the patient is totally fine

Now, I'm not a professional, but I had a thought. Maybe not every kid that gets killed can successfully possess a suit? So there could be so many more deaths than we could be aware of, basically untrackable ones. Making counting kills kinda useless, as all that really matters to us is successful soul trapping/transfers/etc. Not well flushed out, and I'm sure others have thought this, but just a thought I had watching this.

Also let's not forget: Flatlining only indicates that the BRAIN has ceased to function... His heart could still have been beating. His _body_ could still have been alive until he was taken off of life support. And since the brain was the part that got chomped, it makes sense that it would stop first. I think what could be viable instead of Cassidy being kidnapped from the hospital, is William and his spouse brought him home for a kind of hospice. If the Sister Location area was established by this point, it would make it a lot easier for him to steal Cassidy away from his bed instead of from a hospital. If he was in a coma and hope was gone for him, it's arguable that the Aftons might have been able to get the equipment to monitor him at home. It isn't unheard of, just uncommon.

My theory about why the crying child doesnt have a grave is because he doesnt need one in context.All the missing children got killed by afton and then never rested.The graves symbolize a sort of "justice" where they can rest but since crying childs death wasent a murdur but a horrible accident,he has no need for justice but like the stichwraith stays with cassidy to help her with hers.
