Considering a lot of teachers are limited to what they can teach and schools(as well as overworked and underpaid), it's very unlikely that we'll see much change in that regard. Especially when the people running the schools also have an agenda to remain in power and fill their pockets. If anything, parents need to start teaching this stuff at home. People need to teach their families, friends and so on. It's gotta be a community-based education, instead of an institution- based one.

Oh if I ever have kids, believe me they will get some teaching above and beyond their schoolwork from home. However, it is easier to spread any knowledge from an institutional level, so getting some help on that front would be good. Something that I would love to do if I could get J.K. Rowling to sign off on it is to create an extracurricular program covering CB and LF and throw in some mindfulness meditation and call it Occlumency... Would've been more effective when I was in high school during the height of Potter mania but still it could be worth it to try lol

Lootboxes are very nasty manipulation, and psychologically can be equated to slot machines.... Except with slot machines, you often get something in return... With Loot Boxes, you get digital trash... which in a number of years will be useless...

With lootboxes, it may be digital stuff, but you get to keep that on your account, even if it is just garbage. You ALWAYS get SOMETHING, and you never lose. Honestly I don't understand how they make so much money off of the loot boxes. Never once have I even considered paying real life money for loot boxes in any game. They have only ever struck me as an annoying and shallow reward system. For example, within my first 5 hours of CS:GO, I was lucky enough to get one of those $17 crates. I didn't even for a second think of opening it. I just went on the steam market and sold it, essentially paying off my game for me. In PUBG, Rocket League, Shadow of War, Overwatch, Halo 5 and many many more over the past few years you will not find a single purchase of loot boxes or any other of the sort. To me, I buy the game, I play the content, and I push through any stupid reward system they've implemented. Don't get me wrong, I'd much prefer getting rid of loot boxes entirely in favor of a more fair and better reward system, all I'm saying is that I really don't understand how people can spend hundreds of dollars just trying to get in game virtual skins. It almost ruins the whole "being proud" aspect of the reward systems in favor of "I spent the most money so I look the coolest". Anyways, if you actually read this far thanks for reading my nonsensical rambling and I hope that you agree.

It's not just a "nonsensical rambling" tough. There are a lot of games that make all their profit on what we call "Whales", which are the few players willing to spend hundreds or thousands of dollars on the games' store. In short, most companies that rely on loot boxes already expect that 85% of their playerbase don't spend a single penny on loot boxes, 10% could just buy one or two boxes for various reasons, but that remaining 5% of the playerbase, the whales, will give enough money to make their profit.

I read your comment and I completely agree. I've never paid for any microtransactions ever and I actually sorta like loot boxes in games because they actually give you an incentive to continue playing. Battlefield Hardline was one of my favorite games but it was only fun until I unlocked everything and I was like... what goal do I have now? Then I realized that I didn't get the same dopamine rush after each match that I did with games like Halo 5 where you get 3 free daily boxes.
