Garage Door On A Hill Requires A Trailer Section.

In the San Francisco Bay Area we have many hills and steep driveways to deal with. In this video we have an 18 ft. wide garage door, placed on a hill, that is 7 ft. tall on one side and 8 ft. tall on the opposite side. When installing a sectional garage door in this opening we need to add a trailer piece at the bottom of the door to compensate the extreme difference in height. The bottom fixtures and cables are attached to the bottom panel of the door. Not to the trailer piece. This means that the trailer will hang down slightly in the opening. www.gsoverheads...
P.S. If you are ever in San Francisco, be sure to go down Lombard St. The most crooked street in the world, and steep.

My trailer panel is breaking apart due to water damage and I want to replace the whole panel. Would a piece lumber suffice? 2x8x16 or would that be too heavy for the garage to pick up? The current one looks like it was put together with smaller pieces of wood. Thanks and urgent please
