Hey Lonnie, You’re so handy with a box cutter, the perforating tool, quick at resizing & franken boxing your boxes, you could make your own “Gemini” mailers in no time @ no cost… except time to make the pattern to cut them from. You said you were using/shipping your last Gemini mailer so not sure you would recall or have a pattern now though. They look a little tricky but surely you could figure them out in no time. You can get free sheets of cardboard at your large local box stores. They’re between the product layers on pallets, around here they only recycle those sheets. Maybe they do there too. And you just said the magic words… “if you have the skills & know how to”, “if you don’t have to buy it”, and “if you can make it yourself, then why not? Just an idea…

I fixed my ice tea along with my popcorn to relax and listen to you narrate and pack it. But you were hurrying 😆 Hubby and I enjoy your videos.

Thanks for taking the effort packing that book. I bought a cookbook from a goodwill that used some company to package and sell their books. They used just a bag mailer and the spine came cracked and broken. I was really irritated that they allowed the damage of a great cookbook.

Hi, Lonnie Just love these packing videos. I an usually using My Go To tape while watching. It really is the best tape around. Did I say tape ? Mike from NY

Is it possible to add a link to your clear wrap that you also use to push your tape holder with ? Thank you 😊

Any time you spend resizing or making wraps for thin books is going to lose you money compared to the price of the comic mailers.

My Mercari sales have been dried as well. My Facebook Marketplace is also a dead platform for me. I am doing well on eBay.

You could have used your heavy paper and wrapped that big box

True!!!! That would have been a better method for sure. Less protection but I don’t think it needed it’anyway.

The cookbook was offered with Media Mail. Why would you bother cutting the box down since the rates are by weight. There is no cubic rates for Media Mail. 100% waste of time. If were going to ship it via Ground Advantage to get the insurance then its should have been offered on the listings. No reason to buy boxes at all. I've gotten thousands of boxes from local stores over the last 24 years. Unless I selling something very large, like steamer trunk, that requires a custom mad box, then I just grab a box and use it without resizing or Frankensteining the box. Use a large all metal pair of scissors to cut box as its safer and faster that a worthless box cutter since the scissors have a mechanical advantage. Those flat trays they sells canned goods in at the grocery store work great for books. Slap two together that are the same size and you got an instant book box. Also work great for storing inventory. Use part of a plastic shopping bag inside the crystal box. Its free, more easier molded into the box, and it will not split the box corner like the bubblewrap might due to excessive pressure. I can't stand to watch any more....
