I get what you're saying.. but they would also allow rogue shooters to continue their massacres just that bit longer before being taken down.. conspiracy theories aside.. they make your lethal weapons that bit more dangerous in the hands of someone who wants to do harm. Therefore they are regulated. You guys should think yourself lucky your government still allows you to apply an outdated law created when the US was far younger and had actual threats on their doorstep (English, French, Mexico and Indigenous populations). It's so outdated but you cling to it "'''Muricans need guns to protect our rights!" LOL

Up here in Alaska, a suppressor on your bolt rifle is a pretty common thing nowadays, the idea being that it’s harder for brown bear and grizzlies to pinpoint the location of the shot(s) and gives you a little more time breaking an animal down. Some places, a rifle shot is an invitation for bears to come to your kill site.

If I ever enter in to a situation where i have to cut loose with an AR in my own home, we've gone past the stage where I'm worried about hearing. Actually, the opposite is more true. If I'm firing my AR inside my own house, I want everyone else on the block to know I just went to war, because I might not be able to get to a phone to call 911. A buddy of mine that is a state trooper had to shoot someone through the front windshield of his cruiser... when I asked him about discharging his gun inside the vehicle he responded "I didn't hear anything but the sound of my own blood pumping after the first shot anyway"

John Wick! Similar to other movies, the gunshots sound comically quiet and whistle like. Not to mention, but even with the amount of suppression that the guns have, assuming suppressors functioned like this, the people around them would’ve easily been able to pick out the gunshots and granite kicking up from the walls. I guess every civilian was deaf in that movie, otherwise, the gunshots were actually even quieter than portrayed.

Thank America. In 1934, all sorts of stupid things were restricted. Suppressors, because Hollywood movies made a .50 BMG sound like a mouse fart with a suppressor...when actually they would still deafen people without hearing protection. Glad you touched on dirtiness & parts wear using suppressors. I've replaced my gas rings 3x in my 7.5" AR-15 and once already in my AR-10 using suppressors. If you buy a suppressor make sure you have extra BCG parts handy, it will wear them out much faster...

Using electromagnetic energy, the gun (railgun) can fire a shell weighing 10kg at up to 5,400mph over 100 miles - with such force and accuracy it penetrates three concrete walls or six half-inch thick steel plates.Feb 5, 2015 However the very first time I had ever heard of an actual railgun... it was projected to launch a 22 lb tungsten projectile at the 30,000+ mph figure. This would allow directed fire from VA across the Atlantic, over Africa, SWA, India, China, skip across the Pacific and hit metal on metal at Camp Pendleton. Moral of the story is smaller caliber @ drastically higher velocity kills shit without prejudice.

In my experience, DI guns being dirtier due to suppressors is generally over stated. The vast majority of the junk flying back into the action comes from the chamber as the fired case is extracted, not the gas tube. Piston guns are cleaner, but it's not a night and day comparison. Both get dirty much faster than an unsupressed gun.
@JB-jg1tc
@JB-jg1tc 10 ай бұрын
Depends on how over gassed the gun is 😂. I’ve got an AR-10 that was over gassed even without a can (2-3 o’clock ejection, heavy recoil), with significant gas back through the charging handle and a ton out of the bcg. Sticking a can on it make it almost tear the rim off the case, ejection was 20 ft forward and 1 o’clock ejection pattern. And it would give me a ‘gas ‘stache’ if I shot it much. Essentially unusable. Adjustable gas block fixed all the issues. Highest I’ve ever turned it was 6 (out of 15).😮

Pew science has a chart that compares the rc2 with the polo and polo k on the exact same mk18….they even went so far as to test the rc2 with both the warcomp and the closed tine md….and the closed tine is not only quieter with less flash….it also is quieter with less flash without the suppressor vs the warcomp without as well. Considering I can purchase BOTH the polo and the polo k for the price of 1 single rc2…..and adding forward controls/revival defenses testing of the A2 flash hider…..I purchased a 6315rf for my polonium with Ecco machine adapter. Bought a bunch of ammo with the extra cash I saved. For fun and just to look cool, I also purchased a 3P15 3 prong for my 16” as it is quieter than my 12 already….and I can swap the can just like I swap the uppers.
