Great angling doesn’t always mean pulling in the whoppers. Goes to show how clean the river is now from 50 years ago when I used to visit my nanna. Dad was from Sunderland Nannas house was Drury lane just behind u. Thanks for the memories

That brings back memories. Used to fish pans bank as a kid. Been thinking of doing a bit of salt water fishing again. Good to see the old haunts are still producing fish and crabs lol. ATB Steve

Nice way to spend an afternoon Gary. Shame the whiting was bigger than the cod, both of them.

I'm from southampton we've got good local sea fishing, beach, pier and boat but at my local mark (town quay) we don't get the codling as far as I know that would have me out summer and winter rain or shine, would be as you maccams say 'canny like' tight lines 🏴🏴👍👍

Class video mate. Any sign of decent cod on shields pier yet?
@fishingintheukgarywood6 жыл бұрын
Thanks rob. I’ve seen a few posts on Facebook of a few decent cod off the pier over the last few weeks. Biggest one was a 7 pound one off the end within the last couple of weeks.

Gary, you should do overnight fishing challange at tynmouth beach. It should include 'catch and cooks, sleeping and eating your catches. Done by using either bait that you catch or 2 peices of bait of your choice with no amountage like if you agree please :D :P
