If the mob hooked up your dryer for you, this is it

Toilets are too simple. It is about time they made toilets with a built in computer chip and control board to let us know when we are allowed to take a shit.

He will probably be back in a few years to replace that gas valve that got clogged up with debris and scale that falls down the gas pipe. You should always have a T fitting with the gas connection running horizontal off the T. The bottom pipe should be short like 6 to 10 inches that collects any debris that falls down inside the gas pipe. This keeps your gas valve clear. Can't figure why he did it that way. All of my gas appliances have a place for debris and scale to collect.

Secrets of a massachusetts oil company as a driver. We now are selling biofuel past 2 years. Every week we jacked up the percent in the fuel. Its now 80% bio 20% diesel. Our service went from 6 vans to 10 due to this.

I learned a new word today Steve. A Swage fitting ( also pronounced swedge ) is a metal fitting where one end is deformed to fit around another end. Thanks !
@Android_Warrior Жыл бұрын
You mean conical.
@PianoRevisited Жыл бұрын
@@Android_Warrior Yes, you are correct. The pipe end that has been changed to fit on the other pipe is conical.

That's what I should do. Forget Dad's electric wiring mystery and buy a gas one put 90 lb tank outside, vent it done! Smurf Gism. LOL . The problem is the Gas company can't fill 90 lb tanks with their truck, you have to drive it in. And gas price $$$.

As an Australian, I find it embarrassing that in places where they have plumbed LPG, they still prefer to use the slightly less flammable electric type. We do have 240v mains everywhere most run under 10A. I would imagine electric would be more efficient.
@ClickinChicken Жыл бұрын
The electric on those is just 110, right? 20 amp?

Just started a new job at a large apartment complex that has everything gas. I hate the solenoid gas valves on these dryers. They trick you when you get a call for them not drying clothes. Will light and run fine for 10 minutes. But when they go to relight they won't. Glow plug comes on but no flame. Throw 2 new solenoid coils at them usually fixes them.

It's the brush that is built into the lid. Comes as a unit with every jug of the stuff. On actual lube, like anti-seize, (no longer talking about pipe thread dope), some guys will take a knife and cut open the top of the plastic jug once the level is low, in order to get down into the very bottom to get the last of the anti-seize compound rather than tossing out the last 20% of what's in the bottom. All of those paste-like substances come with a brush on a stem, attached to the lid.

Those gas shutoffs are not allowed by code here in NJ. That is what a plumber told me on a service call he did here so I am not sure that is true......I replaced all mine with sealed ball valve shutoffs.....2 furnaces and 2 water heaters....The plumber replaced a control valve on a water heater. It was off for a while and when I turned the gas back on the control valve had a leak at the small copper tube connection....it was loose.....I fixed it.....and soon after the heater leaked ! I do my own work and it's because of episodes like that......

Those old styles of gas brass valves can be somewhat dangerous, just by tightening up the brass nut on the back of the valve can cause the soft brass material it's made of to weaken and brake off the valve stem unsuspectingly at any time ,creating a bad situation. It's better to replace them with a AGA approved valve whenever possible.
