The weak, thin skinned investors and leadership involved at GB News have sacked some fantastic presenters for woke liberal reasons. They almost lost a lot of viewers because of it. I was a BBC loyalist for most of my life (I'm 63.) I watched Newsnight religiously since 1981 and listened to lots of Radio 4 every day. However, I started realise that I strongly disagreed with numerous political positions and agendas the BBC was taking. I've switched to GB News and the internet for all my news and current affairs . GB News has real debate and lets people explain their views (except for Calvin Robinson of course.) I have near ZERO trust in BBC commentary these days. I still pay the license because the BBC still produces some good content. I just watched a great documentary on the Columbia Space Shuttle disaster (highly recommended & still on iplayer.)

Pretty much my thoughts, though I lost a lot of respect for GB News management when they caved in over the Laurence Fox affair. They totally panicked and dumped two excellent presenters Calvin Robinson and Dan Wootten. Gave me the impression they like to play at being out of the mainstream, but throw in the towel the moment there’s a little controversy and step straight back in line. I tend to watch Talk TV these days, as they’ve got the most balanced viewpoint of any news channel I know, with presenters from left, right and centre.

Though Steven Edginton usually gives a better interview, he seemed like a schoolboy here, and Mark Stoleson sounded and looked as though he was reading sound-bites from cards for some B-roll marketing material. Only a few points put forward by Edginton seemed relevant and fewer still of Stoleson's responses did.
