Wonderful as always! I've watched Naomi Klein live in another talk and she's always so brilliant and eloquent ❤

Oddly enough, something a bit similar happened with another two authors: Upton Sinclair and Sinclair Lewis. They knew each other and Lewis admired Sinclair, for whom he worked one summer as a teen. If you ask people 'who wrote The Jungle?' many get it right and some will say 'Sinclair Lewis'. Or ask 'what books did Sinclair Lewis write' and more than a few people will say 'The Jungle'. I once put a query to ChatGPT asking for a list of Upton Sinclair's minor or lesser known works and it included a couple of titles written by Sinclair Lewis. This error is not as grave as Ms Klein's situation but it is somewhat similar in its origination and persistence.

Naomi (Klein), Have you contact, opinion, even "friendship" possibly (?), with Chelsea Manning ? She may have come up with a good many of important conclusions regarding necessary work needing to be done, and ahead of us, but we all need more friends, and an understanding of who supports us, and "why ?", because, I feel, she has had a good deal of experience, and a good mind (?). - Farley Andrews

There are gossips that you are BFF of Neeomi Wolf. And you are trying hard to save her. Neeomi Wolf doesn’t need to be saved because nobody can touch her and you know why. Anyway, it is none of my business if she is trans or not.

It's a bad look for Klein to throw another woman under the bus in order to self-promote. This is not feminism. Klein is using Wolf's success as a launching pad to elevate her own work, while attempting to destroy Wolf in the process. It's worth noting that Wolf never claimed to be a "copy" of Klein in any respect, she is an independent thinker and author. Hard to see this as anything other that professional jealousy on Klein's part. Shameful conduct. Edit: it's also incredibly narcissistic for Klein to view this other woman as nothing but a mirror image of herself.

Absolutely! I pity this woman

The point is that it's not Klein who thinks or claims that Wolf tried to "copy" her, but that for 15 years countless of people mixed the two up, and at some point during covid this mixing up started to hurt or damage Klein when Wolf started to make claims that where serious health riscs for people and people thought it was Klein who did that. And as for Klein alledgedly being narcissitic: have you actually read her book or have you really listened to what she means with this concept of 'doppelganger' and what's she's trying to say about us and the world we live in in this day an age - with internet, social media and AI? Because I have the idea you've missed the point of it all...

@@provocase I understand that some undiscerning people became confused between the two women through no fault of Klein or Wolf's. I don't respect Klein's decision to handle the situation by capitalising on it when that required the dehumanisation of Wolf by reducing her to an avatar. She makes some interesting points about A.I. and social media, and they could have been a decent standalone book. Unfortunately by framing the entire concept around a trivial case of mistaken identity with a woman who had no ill intent towards her, Klein comes across as petty and determined to "win" - whatever that may look like. The whole thing just reeks of competitive jealousy, the sort of behaviour usually attributed to teenage girls. Wolf is not that kind of person. Aside from that, I find Klein's writing style insufferably smug and subtly condescending. It doesn't sit comfortably, even when a valid point is being made.
“Mirror world”? Naomi Wolf speaks the truth unlike you.

Naomi Klein should have throw books on Naomi Wolf ‘s face. Here, learn something. I am a professor. I heard Wolf is jealous of your power. And book sales. Do you think she marry Brian that you exposed as a mercenary, if not deep fake, to intimidate women like you? I am confused because Naomi Wolf wrote on her erased page that Jews are a happy family. And you are Jew so how Jew fights against each other?
@KlausBahnhof9 ай бұрын
Yeah, Wolf married a man just to intimidate Klein... How ridiculous 🙄

@MeFareLaugh I'm having trouble making sense of your comment. Are you saying that he flashed a piece at Klein? Klein is stooping really low with this book - throwing another woman under the bus in order to sell more copies. Disgraceful. She's not a feminist. I've always found her just a bit too smug, and now I see that she's a fully fledged narcissist - only seeing Wolf as a reflection of herself instead of a real person.
