Agree on the podcast .. what an experience ...An absolute American fucking legend , It humbles me to have an insight into what men like yourself and your partners go through to protect this country. An unholy rage burns inside of me to know our government decides to fund illegal aliens and career criminals while veterans are kept out in the alley with little to no support. It is fundamentally broken , our combat veterans should be taken care of and honored for the sacrifices they and their families have made.

MAS Grey is one of the best colors that has been developed. Completely agree for its use in the civilian world and it changes hues depending on the environment. All of my LBT MAS Grey items change from a Ranger Green, to brown, to Grey shade depending on where it’s at.

I listened to DJ's interview with Shawn Ryan, I can honestly say that was the most realistic, down to earth, heart to heart talk I've ever heard from a veteran and it sparked a lot of interest in me. As a veteran myself, I would love to find out what's going on with DJ and how's life treating him nowadays. But my main question is: Did he get over the transition period (civilian life) or not yet.

Hey DJ, I have really enjoyed your story, your honesty, your wide open book approach in sharing your story, your trails ,tribulations and everything in between because when you were on Shawn’s show that shit caught me off guard, no I am not a navy seal, I was a 101st dude in the 80’s and it sucked and when 911 happened me and 3 other buddies went and tried to get into the marines because they were the only ones who would take us , well 1 of the 4 got in …….. anyways I balled my eyes out when you were brutally honest about your failures, your injuries and recovery, I went through a lot of similar things over the last 10 years, 3 TBI’s 11 concussions since 2000, died on the table during a surgery and Was brought back, so many surgeries over the last 10 years that your story brought me a sense that I was normal and that when I lost my best friend to suicide and 6 months later tried the same but a small town cop didn’t act like one and showed compassion and humility when he could have blown it up and ruined my life and reputation as a professional guide, he looked past the ounce of coke I had chopped up along with my perc 30’s and ketamine and got a few friends there to take me to hospital and took it upon himself to drive the 100 miles to my parents house at 4 am and wake them and told them what had happened and that it was close and I am alive and I believe your story is already saving hundreds of lives ! You are a Fucking hero for putting all the macho shit aside and telling it like it is and it’s ok to Fucking cry man and being around all the orhers who have lost and suffered is where you can help and be the man ! Thanks for sharing band I hope we can meet someday! Thank You Fly

Are you saying you tried to suicide by cop but the guy chose not to shoot? That is interesting.
@josephsuperfisky11473 жыл бұрын
@@hughmac13 no , he talked to me like a human being instead of pointing a gun at me and calling for all kinds of backup and shit, because when he walked up on me I invited him to sit down and talk with me because the small town I lived in all the cops new me because every Friday and Saturday night after the bars closed people new they could come up to my place for after hours and hangout and get breakfast and then my son who was in highschool would drive those who were drunk home and he made a lot of money on weekends doing that so we had a great relationship with the local cops they thought it was great what we did every weekend so he new that obviously there was something very wrong with me at the time besides being drunk and High and he looked right past the big pile of coke that was on the table and he asked if he could have my guns sitting there until I sober I said sure but you have to give them back and then he said I am going to go up the street and pick up your friend Ben and bring him down to look after you and then I am going to call your parents ok, so we made a deal and shook on it and when I stood up he hugged me and said you have done far to much for this community for you to go out like this ! You have saved countless lives opening up your house and your outdoor cooking area to people and then driving them home! The cops that work the weekend nights have lots of love for you because we have not had a alcohol related accident in years and that’s because of you ! So he got my friend who came and hung out until my parents arrived then we all went out to breakfast I went to the ER and they set me up with a counselor who I saw twice a week for about 4 months and then I was good ! I had gone through to much shit in a short period of time , I lost my best friend who blew his head off and then a month later my whore wife split while I was guiding a trip for 4 days , I came home to a completely empty house ! Then a couple weeks after that o got hurt bad at work and had to have reconstructive surgery so things had piled up and I could not handle it all ……….. by myself! So shit happens I was just lucky enough to have a caring community around me…
