I came out about me being bi and everyone is wanting me to change but I just can’t see myself doing that. Thank you for this video, as a bi Christian who loves God so much while loving myself for me, it helps me not to feel torn

I’m the lgbtq+, I haven’t seen many Bi Christians and they seemed to be irritated my Christians because of all the churches who say being gay is bad- I believe God made me like this and if he doesn’t like me being Bi he can change that, for he is almighty

Thank you for addressing this. Calling for understanding and compassion for the impossible situation for gay and lesbian christians I think is helpful. It's just been frustrating as a bi/pan person to hear compassion and empathy argument based on whether someone is suffering greatly or being placed in impossible situations. I shouldn't have to be the biggest victim to be worthy of compassion. Mercy and love should be the default coming from Christians, not something I have to earn or prove I should get. As someone who is bi/pan addressing the faulty theology seems to be the only way I can be taken as valid. Also not all bi and pan people experience attraction equally to all genders. I certainly don't. (Not saying all this at you Justin as I think you know most of this)

I'd like to start out by saying thank you for standing up for what you believe in and being true to who you are. I just finished your book Torn and your story is very similar to my own other than I'm bi and was married. I appreciate your passion for the bible and understanding and your passions mirror my own. I love digging in to the theology of the bible and challenging my understanding. Your book inspired to start Looking for an affirming church to bring my children. I sent each church with in my area a small line about being Bi and trying to find a welcoming affirming place to attend. I also said if they were not affirming that I would love to have a discussion about LGBT and the Church with the pastors. Your book has really encouraged me to use my passion for the truth to try to change my region and repair the generations of misunderstanding and for that thank you. Also all your geeky references were not unnoticed by me in your book lol. if you ever come to Seattle I can show you some of the "cool" geeky locations ( not trying to ask for a date ) just seem like a cool friend type person. I'm also a geek and socially awkward.
