1:10 spring arm is on the correct tab as it’s removed. BUT 1:51 shows ace mechanic reassemble with spring on wrong location.

Thank you for this. Although you have to load the spring and make sure you put it in in the open position. It’s supposed to spring open and it locks closed when the panel is back on

You need to show us that the soap lid actually works. We've done this the same way you show but our lid will not lock down.

The knob in the front of the dishwasher (where it says Off, Heavy Wash, Normal Wash, etc.) Needs to be set to off. Once you go through the video steps, put the inner panel back in and attach to the front panel. You should then be able to latch the soap dish. :)

How do you align the link from timer to the cam?

My spring looks and performs fine. I reinstalled it correctly, but the cover still does not stay closed when set to the off position. Could it be something else? Is there something wrong with the mechanism that controls this arm?

The spring was supposed to go back on the lower tab. We just performed the repair and the video was helpful. I just wish they had shown a bit more detail on the spring part and fixed their error. Be sure to make the spring portion (part that goes to tab) go under the black colored armature. Once properly installed (it will feel "right"), you can cycle the dishwasher (after assembly cover) to verify that the detergent cap releases. kzbin.info/www/bejne/i2exomqGjq5okNE The above link shows the spring install portion. Yeah showing that the panel has to be attached to the dishwasher for it to function correctly would have been a big help lol

@@ryanwoodward1921 Sadly, not really. Suspected timer mechanism. Was told be another who said replacement would be cost prohibitive. They just to drop the soap pod in and continue on as normal. It's been fine.

So just drop it in with the twist dispenser already left open and just let it cycle through? Is that what you’re saying? So don’t close it in the rotating dispenser, correct? Thanks!
