I didnt realize they're so floppy. I ordered one recently, and I'm still waiting for it to arrive. I was hoping to use it to protect my lens from the rain, while using a standard JJC plastic raincoat for the body of the camera. I might have to stick with the plastic cup that i cut to fit over the lens. I have various umbrellas and such like but they're not practical for the way i move.

Well, I hope the video showed you have floppy they were. They work great for the Empire reflection, but not for much more. Certainly not for rain.

Hello Jeff, just brought the stseestop hood after watching your video. I've put the hood to some use in the short time that I've had it mainly photographing in the day from a high rise building the images that I've captured appear to be good. I have started to do night photography using the stseestop hood with a tripod. I'm photographing in full manual I'm finding it a challenge to get the night images pin sharp, any suggestions? Many thanks Mr M Roopchan

I'm glad you like using the hood. I'm sorry you're having problems with nighttime photos. There's too many options that could be a problem for getting sharp photos at night. Perhaps the building you're shooting from is not exactly stationary Bering Long Exposure's? Or perhaps you're not getting sharp focus? Or perhaps the glass you're shooting through is not exactly clean? Look at all of the variables and illuminate any potential problems. I hope that helps.

Is it possible to get such a lens hood for a drone? Will that be able to block reflections off glass?

I don’t know. They do make them for smart phones. You’d have to buy one and try it out. And the drone would have to get right up next to the glass so I’m sure the blades would hit it and I doubt it would work. The lens that Hass to be right up next to the glass. Something you’d have to try out.
