Lenovo has killed Moto. G5 is not at all value for money RN4 - 64GB + 4GB = 12999 Moto G5 Plus - 32 GB + 4GB = 16999 + (Add Approx 800 Rs for anther 32 GB micro SD card) = 17799 Too much price difference !! Same chipset same GPU. Moto G5 Plus screen is also not IPS LCD. It is TFT. No USB type C No IR Blaster No Laser Autofocus in camera Lenovo's poor software support / upgrade history.

Yes definitely, the map with not rotate with you. If you do a lot of Navigation, don't buy a phone without a compass sensor.

I am using a Moto E 1st gen. It does not have a compass sensor but navigation works fine. I have used navigation on this phone without any problem. I don't know why u need compass sensor for GPS navigation.

Nishanth Nair exactly..I still use my 5 yr old galaxy y only for navigation and I have NO problems with its accuracy.The only sensor it has is a proximity sensor 😂

1 update is guaranteed. In promotion of G4 Plus, Motorola confirmed that G4 will get 2 updates. This time they didn't tell anything about updates. It should get 2 updates unless Android 9.0 requires some feature which Motorola didn't enable. Same was with G3 and G Turbo. G Turbo and X Play had same processor. But Android N needed Vulkan API enabled which Motorola didn't enable in G3 Turbo but enabled in X Play.

It does have a notification light. It's in the left hand corner of the speaker, if the phone is facing you. It's disabled by defualt for some unknown reasons, but there are videos on youtube showing how to enable it.

I bought a Moto G5 plus phone based on your review. I have been bitterly disappointed since getting the phone as your review missed some fundamental flaws that means this phone is unusable for a significant proportion of users. some major software flaws I have come across (I will let you discover the others in case you are bothered that your review was so deceptive) 1. it does not work with Jio sims at all 2. screen casting does not work (unless you additionally buy chromecast, apparently - but i doubt even this now as i have not tested for myself) Were you paid by Motorolo or anyone else for this review?

@Greekyranjit you said at 8:15 that it does not have LED Notification light but moto g5 plus have LED Notification light you can see it all you have to do is just turn your phone off and connect it to a charger and in the speaker at left side you can see that a white led blinks twice. I will be gland if you do a correction

Sir, I've been hearing some news that Moto G5S & Moto G5S Plus will be releasing soon, but my current phone (Moto G2) I think is internally damaged because it's getting very hot when I use it while charging, the charging port is sort of loosened, it's very slow & it's battery drains very quickly.
