@@geetslys They should just make a bunch of Legends material that doesn't conflict with nuCanon INTO nuCanon. The Darth Bane Trilogy? Declare it nuCanon (maybe even make some movies, or a TV show). KOTOR and KOTOR 2? Declare them nuCanon. In fact, declare basically everything from the Tales of the Jedi comics and the Old Republic Era nuCanon. You don't have to make any new content, you just have to *declare* that old content is canon again. I mean, Disney could get back in the graces of a lot of old fans that way. Somebody could also probably make some kickass movies or TV shows out of the Bane novels and the KOTOR games. Have KOTOR be the first movie (you know, so it preserves the twist for people who haven't played the game), then have the second movie be the Mandalorian Wars, ending with Malachor V, and the third movie be KOTOR 2? Make a TV show focused on the Darth Bane trilogy? That's some kickass shit. Darth Sidious is a traitor to the Rule of Two, change my mind.

PS: come to think of it, Vitiate would probably approve of his philosophy but would be disappointed in him for not being prudent enough to not see the betrayal of his apprentices coming. The period between the war against the Vititae empire and Darth Ruin is largely unexplored. What happened to the Sith empire's remnants? What happened to the dark side worlds Dromund Kaas, Korriban, Zakuul? And with the Sith and the secular rulers of the Empire? As far as we know, the empire occupied almost half of the known galaxy, how did such a superpower dissolve? Did the Republic conquer the empire? Did the Sith go into a civil war? His non force sensitive subjects fled or did they choose to submit to the Republic? The surviving Sith hid devolving into isolated dark side tribes resembling the witches of Dathomir or became extinct? What happened to all the Sith knowledge? And the Jedi? Didn't they ask to hunt down the Sith remnants to the ends of the galaxy? How did they negotiate the transition to peace, taking into account the enormous extension of the empire and its many collaborators?

I wish this era was still canon primarily because I think it could make a great setting for a game. It would be similar to KOTOR but early in the story you become a Jedi Lord of a planet and would have to make the tough choices that come with it while defending it and the surrounding sectors from the Sith with it ending either with your kingdom becoming a bastion of light in a era of darkness or you falling becoming another Sith fiefdom. It could really challenge a light side player with the necessary sacrifices of leadership and show that a fall to the dark side starts with small steps.
