Terrance Bankston Iyanla pointed out the truth - Tamar's behavior - her actions - Tamar is very defensive - living on the edge - I think she had to fend for herself - Usually when people are defensive it's because they feel they were not supported - And I think Tamar made it her life's mission to punish her family for it - I think the sexual abuse she experienced is the root cause - I think she went off because for the millionth time she was being told she is the problem - it's clear she is - it's clear she has been extremely challenged in accepting her part in the dysfunction of her relationship with her sisters mother and father -

Something about Iyanla telling the world about Tamar’s sexual abuse
@mpono18643 жыл бұрын
I have to disagree. These shows film for hours and we only get about an hour's edits. There are a lot of emotions and years of hurt being sorted through at the speed of lightening, this conclusion could be the focus of repairing ties with her family and not about the actual show. Tamar went on Wendy's before this episode aired. The show tried to out Tamar's sexual abuse without her consent and that was the actual real reason she initially walked out. Probability is they told her they wouldn't talk about it anymore which is why she came back in, she was "Forced" to reveal her abuse on Wendy's show because she probably thought they would air that part and she wanted to tell it herself, the backlash is probably why they decided to scrap it all together. The mom was also very upset about the episode saying they tried to blame everything on her. Tamar said only 2 people in her family knew about it, I'm willing to bet top dollar her mom knew about the sexual abuse and did nothing, it makes sense why she let's Tamar get away with her behaviour. At the beginning the mom didn't want to commit to staying throughout the process. Why was it so important to make sure she committed to staying? What exactly would have been her breaking point, what's the one thing that would make her leave? I just wonder. In an interview she was asked if she thought the family member who sexually abused Tamar were scared, she answered "No, I don't think they are scared because Tamar didn't mention any names". I don't know but I found that answer rather weird. I am not a "Tamar fan" but her behaviour makes sense now. All people are complex and we shouldn't judge too harshly.

Tamar is a classic example of a narcissist 1st thing they do is they deflect it's NOT them it you (AKA gaslighting)and when you don't fall for that then comes number 2 they get angry because they can't play with your emotions so they punish you by giving you the silent treatment but it didn't work because she didn't go to her begging her to come talk to her she let her have her moment 3rd they have an emotional breakdown and promise to change but there's no genuine real emotion pay attention there was no real tears

That part. I’m sitting here like...where the tears at though? I felt like her confession to Traci is sincere, but otherwise it’s smoke & mirrors. She’s a COMPLETE narcissist.
