Yes....he could speak Portuguese....he went to boarding school in India....colonized by Portugal....his first language was Parsi.....he also spoke English in school...Bob Geldof said that he spent an evening with Freddie where they spoke Gaeilge (Irish)...Freddie was no ordinary mortal🤩

When they were talking about big stars & egos. ( where you thought Fred was upset ) I think you misunderstood. They weren't talking about big egos within the band. This is a pre interview for Live Aid. The big egos referenced are other acts. The likes of...Led Zep, Paul McCartney, The Rolling Stones, The Who, David Bowe, Elton John. To name a few. PS. 35 people does not refer to managers. Roadies. Tech, sound / lighting crews.

4 very intelligent guys, excellent skills, great sense of humor, very different musical taste and personality, the by Brian mentioned camaraderie that's the Queen. Freddie did collect not only sex trophies 🤣, but all kind of antiques around the world. He loved the Japanese and Spanish artists (like Dali, Miro, Goya, etc.) his house was fully packed with treasures of arts.

The Bday cake / jokes abt the Parliament building and the "don't be ridiculous" (they just arrived to Budapest from Vienna) part was filmed in '86 in Budapest. The Hungarian Rhapsody Queen film is about this stop in their Magic tour. There are individual snippets of all 4 members doing some stuff in the Hungarian capital. It was filmed by Hungarian crew on a 35mm film. Basically the whole Hungarian film industry was in on it - as part pmt to the band. Back then the Iron Curtain was still in force. I believe you can watch the full docu in YT.

A BBC presenter called Bob Harris made a film of the recording and touring of the 1977 album News of the World. The film was never put together until the 40th anniversary of the album in 2017. The clips of Freddie in the harlequin leotard and throwing Roger's stolen maracas into the audience is from this film. It's a great piece of Queen history with loads of great stories.

The Brazilian interviewer would ask the same question 2 times, the first in English. In the question she supposed Freddie was the leader and he denied. Then she asked again in Portuguese and he replied like that.

You should try and give a listen to ‘See What a Fool I’ve Been’ Live in London at the Golders Green Hippodrome in 1973. This performance showcases Freddie’s prodigy voice, and an excellent band performance.

As a side note, John has 6 children, still married to his 1st wife, Roger has 5 children, Brian has 3 children and Freddie is godfather to Rhinholt Mack's son and Mary's son, and takes the role very seriously.

Queen were mild compared to the other bands. Ozzy Osbourne and Motley Crue have the most craziest stories on the road. One for Ozzy, snorting ants because he didn't have any cocaine (he was drunk at the time). Motley Crue completely destroying hotel rooms every where they went. They dropped a TV from a 3 story high hotel room onto a guests car in the parking lot.

The Portuguese reporter first asked if he was the leader of the group and he responded telling her no, that he isn't the leader, that they are all equal. The second part that you aired, she asked the same question and Freddie jokingly says that he is the leader.

In TV interviews in other languages ​​- as happened in Brazil - the questions are asked by the reporter in English and then answered by the artist. Later, for editing, only the questions are repeated in the native language. These interviews are one of the reasons I find myself going a little bat shit when some newer fans are so hell bent on interpreting every lyric of Queen songs. Freddie: “I just like the word.”

BTW... Nowadays, almost any of the footage these clips came from can be found remastered in MUCH BETTER image quality (since this compilation is pretty old).😉 Hopefully, you'll also react to the 20 minute mini documentary on the behind the scenes making of "One Vision"... You'd DEFINITELY find it fun/interesting!

LOL - nope, near the start when the others walk in back of John's interview, that was Roger's wiggle butt, not Freddie! The clips in this video are too short for you to get the full gist of the actual different interviews. Should you ever want to see the full ones, they are out there for you! Some true gems. In interviews Freddie can be flirty, snarky, campy, sweet, sarcastic - in other words, very human. He is actually very protective of the others in the band.
