Criticize Gene all you want for being the definition of narcissism, but he definitely LOVES this beautiful country. Emigrated from Israel with his mother who survived the Holocaust, couldn’t speak a word of English, and Gene found success in his life, thanks to the American Dream. He and the Van Halen family are great examples of how the American Dream does happen if you put your heart, mind, and soul into it

I agree !! Also, I believe that Gene's "narcissism" is mostly a product of his business sense..Half the people see him as someone with a cool confidence and the other half think he is arrogant and self absorbed. This makes him polarizing and that sells. He is just a smart man.

I go back to this interview anytime I need a good cry. Every time I watch this video, I cry hysterically. The idea of his scared Jewish mother raising her arm in the nazi salute breaks my heart, and it makes me get very emotional. Gene Simmons makes me feel patriotic to be an American.

I went to go see Kiss live with my Momma in green bay. She got sick (worked all day had a drink or two and mixed it with smoke.) So she went to the hotel in which we were staying. I saw the concert on my own (had an amazing time.) Well, I was rocking out getting all crazy y'know bouncing around and shit stuck my tongue out at Gene Simmons (Lol) To the right of me there was a guy playing an air guitar jammin out I'd keep bumping into him just a tad bit and he'd give me a nasty sneer it made me noticeably feel bad I was just trynna rock out and have fun. Well, I guess Gene had seen and had enough of it, he and ended up throwing a water bottle at himor something. All I saw was the guy all soaked looking up on the stage saying really? I know what happened though it happened fast and I didn't see it initially. I'll never forget it. That was the coolest thing I'll ever have happen to me. Lotta people dislike Gene Simmons for whatever reason..Well the man made a friend in me for life.

lidia bastianich talked once on her show about coming to America. She and her mother went to the supermarket and she was stunned by the amount of food. What really dazzled her was the baking isle with cake mixes. It was for me, seeing my culture through the eyes of an immigrant. Now we have migrants. Don’t get me wrong, I accept that bad boys get lots of sex. It is the way of the wild, nature. Can’t be helped. Gene Simmons is a bad boy, racking up thousands of penetrations. I hope his ego allowed condoms, otherwise imagine how many times he impregnated women or gave or received STDs. Simmons says his behavior in life is natural. It is because he is a man. Otherwise, I assume they is a great person. God help us. Why doesn’t they?

While I can totally appreciate his emotional honesty regarding his mother's fight for freedom, however, it is not true that individuals do not get murdered or killed in the US. My infant daughter was tortured and medically murdered at All Children's Hospital in St.Pete, FL in 2007, and I have almost been killed multiple times by vehicles, a plow, by exiting the bus and other means. Thank God I looked prior to exiting the bus, or I would have gotten hit by a bald African American male driving a white van in downtown Hartford, CT. This was two weeks ago, and the terrorizing still continues with illegal entries in my rented LOCKED room where my belongings are getting stolen /destroyed. My vehicle was vandalized (2010-2015- State of Connecticut) and other items from (2015-2021-Arizona, Connecticut) have been stolen/ destroyed: clothing-"cut"+"punctured" footware-(Hiking boots-2 pairs, 3 pairs of running sneakers, 1 pair almost destroyed- "cut") 2 computers, cell phones, backpack, bicycle tires, bicycle seat, sunglasses, facecloth "cut", cookware, a spatula (this is not in chronological order)and a host of other items. In addition, I was "set up" to be fired twice 2009-Wachovia Bank)(2011- Town of Monroe, CT) after the loss of the baby (2007) and divorce (2007). My life has been horrible for decades (1979-2021) filled with financial abuse, psychological abuse, (gaslighting, manipulation, exploitation) in addtion to, attempted physical destruction, and I am still waiting for financial restitution ! Also, add in the LIES that the some of the local city police write (NBPD) when they state that I have a SUD and mental health issues ! That is a LIE - Defamation of Character and I just found out yesterday that my social media account may be possibly hacked into (need to verify). The hacking with my cell phone, internet, work + school sabotage has been out of control ! On another note, while I am happy that Gene Simmons as a child was able to leave with his mother, and avoid further torment, many of us have been tormented within the US. In addition, the victimization still transpires despite my best attempts to obtain justice for the REAL crimes/abuse that have occured for over 40 years, for I and others have been BLOCKED and thwarted.
