Got a 24 3500 AT4 and the transmission has been messing up with issues since 10K miles on, now at 13 with the transmission completely useless now. The dealership told me drive it till either got worse or I couldn't stand anymore. Well it decided to loose drive and reverse randomly. The dealership told me 6 months waiting for parts so they are holding on their lot with the other 15 trucks with same issue. Since it is warranty they will give you a loaner, but of course the loaner is something small. Sounds like lemon law will be used and order something else.

My 2023 Allison had the Valve body issue at 63000kms. The Truck sat at the dealer for 4 months. Then I filed a complaint to the Better Business Bureau, got a response within 2 hours, GMs executive office contacted me later that same day, three days later I was driving it with a new Valve Body. I would recommend filing a formal complaint with the BBB (Canada and USA) for anyone who is waiting for this BS that GM is putting them through. Hauled my 7500lb 5th wheel about 500km when I first got it back, and have put nearly 8000km since the repair and no issues yet.

From my understanding. GM passed on the true Allison 9 speed for the 2020+, and why in the hell did they do that? Bean counters I guess, but I'll bet they're not liking these beans now. Pay now or pay later BIG TIME. Get it together GM!!!!
They need to fix their problems rather than worrying about developing EVs. I know several long-time GM customers that have switched brands. No profit in that.

I've had a lot of General Motors and Ford vehicles. My experience with my 2003 Silverado back in the day was bad enough. The truck never left me stranded but it had all kinds of small issues. What made that experience absolutely awful was dealing with General Motors dealerships and their crappy service departments. I don't think I've ever had a good experience with any dealership I've dealt with. My experiences weren't limited to that truck, but my experiences with that truck were so bad that I never bought another new Chevrolet or GMC truck since. I also had a 2005 Pontiac GTO which was another dealership nightmare. I don't mind used GM vehicles but that's because I can do the work on them myself. But I absolutely refuse to buy one new and have to deal with the dealerships. My experiences with Ford are better, but still not good either. The only difference is that I've found a couple solid dealerships and I've stuck to doing business with them. I've found three I like in the DFW area. I've found zero General Motors dealerships that have provided good experiences.

I’ve talked to people that have waited till it had 100,000 miles take it in and the exact same thing happens to them that happened to me so believe it or not I think you did the right thing changing it early. The other two will tell you to flush it so I’m not sure if anybody knows what the hell they’re talking about. Lol. Some of us get lucky and some of us don’t I never knew there was that many problems with this truck transmissions until I put my first video out and that was like six months ago and every day somebody emails me and tells me about their truck having the same problem, it’s a valve body and the few professionals that I talk to you said that they would not machine correctly and that’s what’s causing it and I told him it’s probably because it was built by the cheapest person and you know what you get when you don’t pay for somethingyou get screwed over. I’m glad yours is still going and I hope lots of people never have this problem but I know thousands of people that have and it sucks but I appreciate you watching the video and I appreciate your commenting that you have a blessed day.

Might have to get a Toyota to move your RV if in a pinch. Had a Buick loaner with one of those camera mirror would not give a dime for that option at night the headlights glared aweful had to shut it off. Always owned GM trucks just half tons my 14 Silverado crew 4x4 is my very last

There are absolutely NO recall notices for MY24 HD trucks for issues related to the issue associated with the MY20-MY23 trucks. Have there been recalls on MY24, yes, but absolutely nothing for the transmission issue as with the pre-refresh trucks. If an occasional guy is having a problem with a MY24 or MY25 HD truck, it is luck of the draw until it happens to more than a population of one. There isn't a Ford or Ram that I would consider because their problems seem even bigger, just watch all the videos. I had a MY21 3500 HD and loved that truck with zero issues. I even had a Pulsar V3 on it, ran it at all power settings, and it ran and shifted perfectly. GMC lover here even with the inconvenience of a few recalls.

Gonna be same transmission for several years to come . They did increase valve body warranty to 150,000 miles or 15 years only for p0747 code. Not bad for a transmission designed to last 50,000 miles

Dang dude, ya know there are other optIons. Allison does make a direct replacement. I believe ZR does too. I'd check 8 speed options. They don't hunt for gears like 10 speeds do.

Love the diets 1500 Denali ultimate but am now concerned about purchasing after seeing this video... I would not be towing with it just enjoying it. Does the towing cause the issues?

Every GM vehicle I've ever owned had transmission problems. Didn't matter, stick shift or automatic. Replace or rebuild every time. 1956 Belaire all the way through my current 2009 Impala. I've had Chevy work vans, many different cars, pickup trucks and all failed. Never a recall or offer from GM. I've also owned many Dodge Rams and NEVER had a transmission problem. Fords are simply all around junk. Engine, transmission, suspension, door hinges, and you name it.

I have 2017 GMC Denali. 6.2 L with the eight speed transmission. 25,000 miles the transmission went out. The truck is no longer under warranty for the age. $7000 to get a new transmission. My truck now has 32,000 miles and the torque converter Aad module has gone out again. It has been at the dealership for three weeks now and I am waiting to get it back. At least this transmission is still under warranty. So it seems they never upgraded their garbage torque converter issues. I would never buy another Chevrolet/GMC. They have been my go to vehicles my whole life.

I bought a 2017 Silverado in Feb 2021. One owner, like new. 85 K miles. Bought it at the dealership that sold it new. Transmission went out and owner traded it in. Dealer put in reman transmission and I bought it and drove it one year and 7500 miles. That trans went out and the dealer installed another. That transmission went out a year later and another 7500 miles. No towing and the only thing I hauled was my golf clubs. Dealer installed another trans and told me to get rid of it. I took their advice. Never buy a Chevy truck.

LMFAO they never changed the transmission cooler bypass valve when they replaced it the first time. Also, you're always gambling on a used truck. Trucks get traded in when there's a sign of a something ain't right. That cooler bypass was probably stuck so the transmission was running too hot and the last owner was a clown that never had the fluid changed. The clowns at your dealership kept changing transmissions and ruining them because they never once bothered to check TSB's for the bypass valve.
@muskiefishing9219Ай бұрын
Isn't that the Chevy trade mark. Chevy transmission has been going out between 80,000 thousand miles and 120,000 miles since the beginning of time. On all models.

We had a 24 3500 Gasser that started shifting hard at around 54,000. Chevy dealer in Ohio pulled the pan and found filings. Ordered a transmission that took 7 weeks to arrive. Dealer claimed the “new” valve body in the transmission is “revised”. They did put a 3 year / 150K warranty on the new transmission. My personal 24 3500 Gasser with 23,000 is having the Next Gen body upgrade kit installed this week.

Transmissions, I would do approximately 10 to one Fords and Chrysler, I always owned fords, so I bought a new Oldsmobile , 3 transmissions went out under 60000 miles and numerous other problems, I told my wife if you hear me say GM or mention any thing about buying a another GM vehicle , kick me really hard

Couple of haters in the comments. Thanks for making the vids and shining the light on GM’s EXTREME failures as of late. Just got my 2023 back after 2 months waiting for valve body. To the haters…good luck and make sure you come back to these comments and correct them if/when it happens to you. It is not a good experience. I’ve been a die hard GM fanboy since 1995…strongly reconsidering my stance.
