Honestly, in the undergroundish music, most of them are fucking great. Almost all I met were super friendly (my music geekness helped I guess). The only disappointing one was Rick from Hot Snakes/Drive Like Jehu but mainly because he was to stoned to give proper answers to my questions. But even Steve Albini is a fucking great dude in person, and he was my first interview ever (with a frggn handycam to boot, and Shellac drummer Todd Trainer ironing his shirts next to me). Favorite was probably Roger Miller from Mission of Burma. It's pretty great to have conversations with your hero's and go see bands with them and stuff. It has this weird effect of demystifying them but making them more awesome at the same time.
