You do realize not *every* organ in the body is vital and as long as you don'e have a gaping hole in the wounds to either your gut, stomach or spine, you *should* survive. And thats how cauturization work, every time someone who *wasn't* a sith survived a lightsaber stab, its been because the wound was never *going* to be fatal. They are stabbed in either the stomach, the gut, of somewhere between the spine and lung, every time its FATAL... has been lungs, chest... or having your head CUT OFF. This might have been the most physically brutal thing Star Wars ever got into Live Action. Murdering Jacky that way is one thing, but that neck snap in full front of the audience? That is something you would expect from John Wick, not from Star Wars and it works in the best way possible in raising the stakes. Also, i agree with some people in the comments that we might be seeing the first steps of Plagueis in the galaxy. Since he is a Muun and we know from Legends that they can reach over 100 years in age, its entirely possible for him to be active here and now, so Qimir might be one of his earlier apprentices or agents. Also, the fact that Osha and Mae were created by using the force is something he would interested in, absolutely. Sol is pretty much in shock and has too much trauma and guilt to tell the Jedi about Qimir. It’s why he is likely taking “Osha” to Brendock to come clean without even making a report. Sol is also too traumatized and unstable that he pretty much didn’t use the Force to know Mae is “Osha.” Plus, the wording Qimir made is kind of overlooked. He said to Sol that “you would call me a Sith.” He did not say “I am a Sith.” It’s like a racist saying that other people would call him a Nazi (ex. The Boys show’s revelation in Season 2) but he is not saying the Nazis are back. Qimir’s final plan is obvious. He is going to break Sol’s spirit by making Osha his new acolyte and kill Sol. Qimir is likely a retconned version of Darth Venamis (Venom -> Qimir makes a poison in episode 2). I pretty much advise to be skeptical until watching the Season Finale to make an authentic critique for the show. Who know? The show might end with Plagueis killing Qimir and taking Osha to experiment on her for his studies on Midichlorians. Acolyte is a horror mystery story so I expect a horrifying ending and Plagueis making Osha a lab rat is the most terrifying way to end it. What Plagueis did to test subjects like Venamis: “Traveling to Sojourn-a moon owned by Plagueis and maintained as a personal retreat-Venamis was bested in a duel and forced to ingest a coma-bloom, a poisonous species of flora, putting him into a coma. As part of his experiments with midi-chlorians over the following decades, Plagueis and his droid 11-4D kept the comatose Venamis alive to manipulate and study. Around the year 42 BBY, Venamis was eventually allowed to die by Plagueis, his usefulness finally fulfilled. Afterwards, he was resurrected and killed again and again in the presence of 11-4D, as well as Plagueis's apprentice, Darth Sidious, until Venamis' organs finally ceased to function and Plagueis finally allowed the Bith to die for the final time.”

This reviewer is the only one trying to be fair in both criticism and praise. He is right that there are some flaws. But I can't remember being so into SW characters since Andor. It was upsetting losing these two young jedi who weren't masters but were solid characters the viewer had come to be anchored by. It would be tragic if the series showed more serious flaws at this point, because its ambition is greater than the usual Disney series. It definitely isn't coasting on fan service but is going for drama, without even being perfectly cast for that. The right thing to do is to watch it and I'm invested in the surviving characters and hope the daring is met with success. I've blocked dozens of negative, dismissive KZbinrs, many I've watched for years. SO it seems like a Rubicon or watershed SW series, bound to split the fandom for a few years. I'm fairly confident that it will eventually win viewers, but the stakes can still go higher if the rest of the season can match the best episodes so far.

Normally I am not a big fan when shows have to explain everything, or think the viewers don't get what is happening in the plot - like when in Rings of Power they have to put "Mordor" on the screen, so that really everyone gets that this land is now Mordor - but they really catched me off guard when introducing this in the middle of a fight scene and don't explain it. We have not scene anything like this in any life action or animated show ever. The only thing close to it is beskar but we know that beskar does not work that way.

But this episode... ...This episode got me! It's what you wait for and then when it hits you (true story) yell out loud THATS WHY WE LOVE STAR WARS! The choreography was definitely high level. Out of the box use of force power and swordsmanship was inspiring. And even knowing who "the master" was from literally ep 1, it was still a cool reveal. I really agree with everyone saying they should have released it all at once. Even though I don't feel it would have made a difference for everyone who's set on hating it, it might have swayed a few more to seeing it's not braking anything, and it's not the franchise slayer it's being made out to be. I almost wonder if a series stated like this.. would it have been better received from the premier?

Villain motives are important, and Qimir's montives play into the themes of the show. His motive is that he doesn't like the uptight rules of the jedi. It shows how extreme they are about not attacking. The police will pull their guns out on an apparently unarmed citizen just in case. On top of that, a Force user is never truly unarmed. Their own mind is a weapon. You have to fight them until they are disabled or killed.

Maybe the mob does not like it for legit reasons? Ki-Adi Mundi being aware of someone going around killing jedi (and now more have been killed)/the high council not being told of it during a time of peace/whatever in the world Episode 3 was and the creation of life cheapening Anakin. Jedi went from being a mostly invicible order that were only to be taken down after 1000 years of careful planning by the Sith to someone who might not even be a Sith cutting them down like butter. I don't mind new content but still got to stay consistent with lore for me to like it.
@shouhanyun82034 ай бұрын
@@eddiemelville5576high council wasn't told cuz the order is corrupt leading to their downfall although that's prob a stretch. Ki adi mundi doesn't just assume he's sith. Every force user on the galaxy doesn't have to be just Jedi/sith so his prequel line is valid. Regular Jedi knights were rather weak compared to high council members, so a sith apprentice or lord killing them wasn't too shocking. Plus they barely killed 10 Jedi, not anywhere near toppling the order. Anakin specialty, even if it is lore breaking, isn't ruined as I don't see how this would unbalance the force. The force created Anakin because of the unbalance created by plagueis while the twins were created through dark magic. I would assume the force wasn't unbalanced because they were twins, one dark one light. I get complaining about the story but please use some sense when talking about the lore

@@shouhanyun8203 I think you gave a fair explanation. I'm still not a big fan of the story, but when you explain it like that, it is at least somewhat plausible. I have done the audio books of Dark Plageuis and Dark Lord: The Rise of Darth Vader plus hours of videos on comics, etc. That said, chances are, you have read more of the lore than myself. Do you think this character is an actual Sith Apprentice or more like the title would suggest...a dark side acolyte or dark side user? Still surprised by the level of power Qimir. has personally ("They fly now?") but I think the element of surprise is plausible considering these jedi probably didn't think they would be encountering a sith-like combatant

Generally those who have a great experience will fill it out and those that have a bad experience will fill it out. Those that have an ok to average experience won't fill it out due to finding it ok and therefore not needing a response.
