mill 27 there were many attempts in my imperial career to weakening me by xenophobics. All of them failed. Some of them even became a ally to me. Humans are like fishes who want to be in the swarm. Pick one singulary and you will realize they are not what they pretend to be. Same goes for allen. He gets more attention and popularity from other human as an aftereffect of acting xenophob. But he truly is smarter than that. He is aware of respecting other species can become an advantage to him . Advantageous actions are those he aims for, not the xenophobic ones. He is one of them i could consider as an ally.

What I find really interesting is all the actual military equipment used in star wars. Rebel soldiers' uniforms and kit include gear modeled and even directly taken from Vietnam era field equipment. Many of the blasters you see are also just a combination of a few real firearms. It's really cool I'd say!

You neglected to add that ISD carries 2 prefab garrison bases, likely used to establish a planetary base and consolidate ground forces. This makes the ISD class even more potent as it can rapidly deploy these bases to gain an fast and strong foothold on wavering/hostile planets.

This is probably the one key advantage which Star Wars has got over Star Trek where the universe cannot seem to catch a break from getting rebooted and mutilated without some sort of manual to keep the studios and writers in check. The Vulcans have got a pretty interesting history leading up to the point to where they became logical in the expanded universe. The best part of Star Trek: Enterprise was when they got the bright idea to actually start using some of it and make it canon.

There's a book at Barnes & Noble called the Imperial Handbook, which explains how the Empire's military is organized - the Army, Navy, and Stormtrooper Corps - as well as comments by some notable characters in the Original Trilogy.

Army trooper aren't canon anymore. Good thing too, the entire concept of them was just dumb in every way imaginable.

I always hated the concept of the Army troopers. They were supposed to be more numerous than Stormtrooper yet we never see them aside from a few sparse inclusions in legends comics and what not. Having them in implies that Stormtroopers are the "elite of the elite", which doesn't line up with anything at all seeing how incompetent they have been in all of their portrayals. I can't even imagine anything being even worse than a Stormtrooper. Their design was also really lame and unmemorable. I'm pretty sure their sole purpose was to be low level grunts players could fight in the Star Wars RPG. Additionally, unless you include the AT-ST pilots, these dudes have not shown up once in ANY new canon story sources. You'd think a trooper more numerous than the Stormtroopers would show up at least once in the multiple comics and books published in the new canon. Pablo Hidalgo of Lucas Film Story Group also very heavily implies they are non existent in an episode of Rebels Recon. Q: _Are Stromtroopers considered an elite corp of the Imperial Military. Or are they regular soldiers?_ A: _Oh man what is the best way of answering this that is fully respectful of the awesome 501st legion? It is easy to put on paper that Stormtroopers or the super elite, the best of the best. But when it comes to having to put them on screen they often fill roles where you can't have the best of the best. I mean if you're going to exhibit a soldier in Star Wars, an Imperial Soldier, you're not going to create some sort of generic military guy, you want to use Stormtroopers. So that means you have to have a mix, and that's true in the movies. If you look some of the Stormtroopers are really good. The guys that raided the Tantive IV, at the beginning of A New Hope, those guys are really good, they really made short work of those rebel defenders. Now compare that to some of the guys that are chasing Han Luke, and Liea around aboard the Death Star. So it's not an equal mix. Which goes to the argument that these guys aren't clones. You know because they're definitely anything but uniform._

just because you don't see them does not mean they are not more common. in the Original Trilogy we only get to see a few different areas, most of which are dangerous places. The idea that having a group of Army Troopers makes Stormtroopers "elite of the elite" is simply not the case. the main difference is that the Army Troopers are not supposed to conduct offensive actions or serious combat. They are like MPs or security forces.

army and navy troopers were more featured in legends, now we see them less but they still exist. Most ATATs are operated by Army Troopers and if you read the thrawn novel he worked with many navy troopers. The stormtroopers are like marines essentially over used and probably underfunded

3:11 I am reminded of how Thrawn said he was concerned about the Rebel fleet’s “threat to our own armada and the Emperor’s plans.” His mention of “the Emperor’s plans” like this in a strategic meeting always struck me as strange. Normally, you would speak of “the Empire’s interests”, or “Imperial policies”, stuff like that.

One of the main reasons I want a Vader film is so we can see the Empire from their side, I mean Luke was going to join the Imperial Academy at the start of a new hope, so while I will love the bits were Vader takes out army’s of rebels it will be cool to be how they see themselves and how the troops react if or when their told to pacify a whole settlement of civilians.

With the Imperial Military as a whole, something that is often reinforced to the point of incessant repetition, is power projection. Star Destroyers and the Stormtrooper Corps are quite effective in combat (depending if plot armour's involved), but as you said - it's 25,000 Star Destroyers for billions of planets. The Empire is much more effective with its threat than its actual military power, or at least so I think.

8:05 It's not an Interdictor-class, it's Immobilizer-418-class. Interdictor-class it's a ship used in times of the Old Republic, during battle of the Star Forge, for example.
