Nice, thanks for the update. I had mine rebuilt here in Georgia with a 50/61mm compressor and a 52/45.6 - 9 blade turbine. Same boat,FBO wanted more power but wanted it to stay close to stock turbo setup on 93 pump honestly happy w it's performance. Doing a custom tune soon since i'm on a base map for larger turbo, can't wait.

That’s going to be awesome when you’re done. And I’m actually going to be testing another stuffed unit soon. 52.5mm x 68mm 9 blade compressor wheel and a 53mm x 48mm high flow 9 blade turbine wheel. Hoping to see maybe 20-30 whp more from my current setup. I’ll document and video that one as well to see the difference!

It’s a good setup with whichever one you go with since it’s just a direct replacement to your stock unit, but more power ☺️

Hey, Ive updated my tune with uniq like 2 days ago and I talked to rob about getting a stuffed turbo, he told me that the tune I have is already good with a stuffed turbo, is it true? Cause you say in the vid that you need a retune, that would be logical but who knows.. maybe if i unplug the ecu like bolt on mods , it will adapt?

Some tuners are different, so I can’t speak on behalf of them and how your car is tuned. Maybe theirs is adjusted enough to make those kind of changes with the upgrade? I’m not sure. Sorry I can’t advise much on that as I’m tuned by AlphaSpeed.

If I get this stuffed turbo, is it safe to run without a tune? Or is a tune mandatory in the future

A tune would be mandatory with this turbo or any modified or upgraded turbo unit. It would not be safe without.

@@alphagenperformancehypothetically how long could I go on without a tune? Like let’s say I can’t get the tune instantly, how long would be too long driving it (wouldn’t be driving crazy i would be babying the car)

@@pablovargas2778 I wouldn’t go into boost or anything. Just think that if you did want to see what it felt like, the car would be running lean in boost with all the extra airflow and that wouldn’t be good. I’ve heard some guys disconnect the wastegate arm as well until they got tuned as well.
