GV60 is imo ahead of Ioniq5, but it’s close with EV6. Personally, I’d go for Kia as (in UK) it’s likely to be nearly £10k cheaper. All 3 are fine cars and will find sufficient buyers, but the Kia edges it in any 3-way for me!

Thanks for this comparo! I wondered why the GV60 was appealing to me more. The comparison illuminated one aspect: the differing proportions. The stubbier GV60 is more my taste. Won't be able to afford it, but would love one in the Hanauma Mint.

Very good video Mahesh! I think it's a pity that the GV60 does not offer similar specs to the EV6 GT at its highest trim.

GV60 looks the best to me, but 240 miles of range is woeful which is why I have a Tri Motor cybertruck on order.

I am very happy with my Kia E Niro, so updating to the EV6 was a natural, but I really wanted more range, 300-350 miles. Why does every review including yours never get near the high speed charging that they advertise? Every review says 30 minutes not 18 for 10-80%. No preheating of the battery pack.

I got 20 minutes for 10-80%. Just a couple minutes off the claimed 18 minutes. And I hit 240 kw, the maximum charge power the car is rated for. Enjoy your EV6!

Were someone to choose either the Ioniq 5, EV-6 or GV60 over the other two, they won't have made a bad decision.

I drove the xc40 recharge and I will be looking at the GV60 .The Volvo and found that I drove well but looked a little bland inside .If you are looking for a car with power and aren’t to fussed about the interior the XC40 recharge is ok .I would rather the GV60 but because of the price difference it’s a tough 1 .The GV60 has way better tech .

Is there any information about the face recoqnition software? If it only uses a 2D recoqnition like most video surveilance cameras, then I could use a printet photo of the cars owner and get into the car. If it uses iris recoqnition like most newer mobile phones, it would be much safer. How would it work in low light or in rain/snow?

Wow. Not sure why the GV60 videos aren't getting a lot of views yet. That should change. That said, while the GV60 has several features that seem to justify the increased price, biometric entry and power activation being among those, the "crystal" is a HUGE turnoff for me. What the hell is that? The pointless use of battery energy to light it up is bad enough (one hopes that's on a timer and is only illuminated for a brief period after the car is locked), but the cheap-looking chrome on the other side and the UI in general doesn't seem appealing, and I'm especially not interested in random motor-based mechanisms in my car that are going to break in 5-10 years and cost a fortune to fix when a simple fixed switch would've worked just as well. If I were in the market for a GV60, I'd probably pay _extra_ just to _not_ have that dumb gear selector.

For the same price I would get a GV60 if the cargo space is about the same as the EV6. If more expensive then I will for sure prefer the EV6. Thank for the excellent to the point review, it is much appreciated. Do both cars have the heat pump as Canadian winters in the Ottawa area can go down to minus 20 or 30 Celsius at times.

It's obviously a very screwed up product specification, when the luxury version, intended for older and senior drivers, less agile, more comfort ortiented, with poorer reflexes and possibly less recent racetrack miles under thier bulging belts than the sports oriented, youger drivers, gets - out of all possible USPs available - a DRIFT mode (!!), while the "sportier" version doesn't. 😁🤣😂 I REALLY like Kia, but honestly guys, your product management clearly needs a radical executive overhaul asap! Call me when you're ready to implement the proper PM alignment. I'll come to help you out in my new EV6 AWD being deliverd in 2 weeks.

I think the drifting should be on EV6 not on the Genesis. Considering the Genesis brand is the "luxurious" type. Bently and RR don't drift😂😂😂😂.

None of them is good. Both are too expensive, don't enough range and a few other negative things. The EV60 has very good exterior dimensions. The EV6 is a bit too long. I suggest to Korean manufacturer to do the following, if they want to sell a lot of them: - A light version with the exterior dimensions of GV60, one model with a max 150W front motor, REAL USEFUL range of minimum 300 miles on one charge, the EV not heavier than 3700 pounds ( 3700:2.2=max 1700kg ), electronically very simple, minimu cintrol and features, one simple electronic screen that provides mainly GPS functionality, some simple micro-switches for radio, external mirrors, heat and air and AC, spare tire, normal tire sizes, wireless fob only, price very close to $30 000. You do this and you will sell it in tens or hundreds of millions forever. This is the real EV for masess.

That crystal is dumb AF. What was wrong with a column shifter? It was out of the way and caused no problems. This is a spill risk waiting to happen.
