Oh my. If that full 16mm ever reappears it’ll be overwhelming. Their best tour, imho (I saw them both nights in Birmingham), and despite understandable nostalgia for Pete and Steve (both of whom I saw), and despite the bigger productions of later tours, I think this was the pinnacle.

Oh how wonderful. I will enjoy this. The 2nd May was my first ever concert and i have great memories of it. It remains my all time favourite gig and seeing them in Liverpool last year was a nice bookend to all the concerts on every tour inbetween. Thankyou.

Was genesis as big as queen and pink flyod in the uk back in the 70s and 80s?
@richarddavies84963 күн бұрын
@@srirahulpremkumar1600 yes, if not bigger by 1987 - four concerts at Wembley Stadium.
@srirahulpremkumar16003 күн бұрын
@@richarddavies8496 how come genesis are never considered as rock “legends”? Also queen had enough ticket demand to sell out Wembley stadium for 6 nights in 1986. But they couldn’t rent the stadium for extra days because the stadium was being used for another purpose. That is why they added an extra show at knebworth park. Also pink flyod was doing stadiums in the 80s as well.

Let the collectors who watch, please send to GMusic some unique Genesis video, for example from 1983, 1984 or 1986. :) For sure collectors have something. On the 2nd box set 5 May 1980 version you can hear the In the Cage style clapping and the guy shouting "GET ON WITH IT!" I always wondered whether that was the same dude who screamed the same on the 1984 live NEC video before In The Cage.😂

A thousand comments, but how many say it's just a pretty song, about kindness and possibilities? It was never about best, or winning. It was about being kind and understanding that we can only influence, not control. RIP JERRY, ROBERT, and all who left us believing that we could help make the world a better place. There seem to be more challenges everyday, but I believe I am capable of making every person I meets day a bit better, and I refuse to believe doesn't matter.

@G Music: This guy here (El Escondite Records / Marcelo Diz) is really getting annoying. As well as he rips off your material here as soon as you post it, just for example the Liverpool video from 1980 you did so much hard work on it, kzbin.info/www/bejne/rmnComd8msece9U, he does the same with my audio files. ☹️ He is simply reposting the material on his channel in a far lower quality. I don't see the thing there.🤔🙄 I read about it, as you complained to him for doing the same to your Montreux 1987 video. Is there a possibility to block that guy from our channels? Would be great to hear from you about this matter. 🎶 Best musical wishes. David

Why put any compression on this?
@GenesisMuseum5 күн бұрын
If you mean audio compression, we sometimes use a small amount in the upper-mids because it brings out the percussion (snare, cymbals, etc) in some older tapes that can sound muffled or dull. However, we make all of these projects to sound and look best to us, and may not match everyone's preferences. In addition, KZbin uses low bitrates and high compression that can affect the results as well.
