My high school faculty was solely focused on college prep., students that could not afford or chose not to continue on to a 4-year institution were viewed as failures. Vocational, jr. college or apprenticeship programs were never mentioned or offered as viable alternatives, the facility goal was to maintain their record of the highest percentage of HS graduates in the city to enter 4-yr institutions.

Building, fabricating, modifying, troubleshooting, engineering, designing, creating, etc. He's got tons of videos/series up from past Genius Garage generations. There's some pretty unreal stuff that's happened & happening there.

I have a dumb question for ya casey! Do you have a job on the side? What is that job? Looking at all the cars you have and your great ability to prioritize providing for your family, to me, you can't NOT have a main job 😆 Love all you do for your students and the information you give for free to the public! @@CaseyPutsch100% understand sir, I just have a hard time believing that you are able to afford all your cool projects when Genius Garage doesn’t really generate adequate funding if you know what I mean, not trying to sound like a jerk, maybe my first comment was too literal or harsh (I tend to come across wrong when things sound different in my head). Basically my original question is “how do you have enough money for all this cool stuff?” I was basing the question off your previous mentions of bad government funding as well as your minimum hour requirement in your satire “looking for my replacement” video, etc. I fully respect you, I love what you’re doing, I’m not saying you’re a corporate slave or anything, it just doesn’t make logical sense to me that you don’t have a job🤷‍♂️

If I didn’t lose my last decade giving my time to Genius Garage I’d be a millionaire a few times over at this point. All the crap I accomplished was done with a toolbox, a brain, two hands, ears, and the ability to articulate. That’s all you’re going to get. You have to figure out your own path. The big machine out there keeps people broke and stupid with no time. You can do a lot with a very little if you live smarter.

Am I eligible if I'm from Canada? If so I'd happily make the drive to Ohio in the beat up, unproven E36 I just bought for $1200 fixing whatever blows up on my journey with nothing but the tools in the trunk. (badass cover letter will be provided upon confirmation of eligibility)
