I absolutely love that aquascape and the choice of fish. I've never fancied juwel Rios for aquascapes but that tank looks awesome in white and has completely changed my mind. Absolutely stunning

thankyou so much...I used to have a black Rio and wasn't so keen but after i decorated, decided to get it in white (was the best i could afford to be honest) once i removed internal filter housing and painted the back panel black i was well impressed how well it looked. the new push open cabinets are solid and nice looking cabinets too👍 thanks for such great feedback🙂

I need to get an intake tube though - it looks much safer than wedging the hose under the hood

Hi Geordie, how are you. Quick question, using the exact same set up, filter intake, hose (9 meters) and I am unable to siphon, a few splurges of water come out but then stops almost immediately. No kinks / blockages. Is it because the of the 9 meter hose (required to reach the sink)? Any tips? Thanks Stewart
@GEORDIESCAPER
@GEORDIESCAPER 3 жыл бұрын
Hi Stewart, not sure why, the only time i've had problems is if there was trapped air, i usually just give it a big suck and off it goes, make sure hosing is empty of all water and air bubbles before you siphon out water, pump does all the work straight away when refilling.

@@stewartkeil4314 if you're trying to empty the tank once it gets to around 80% empty the intake won't provide enough to syphon you will have to use hosing end only, as soon as the water level is near the grill on the intake pipe it stops siphoning. That's a bit stupid putting decloranator into the bucket and then watching it spill over the side and down the drain. Try putting it directly into the tank.

Stupid is a bit harsh but you are right, I do add to aquarium now as I have a thermo valve fitted now and add the water directly👍
