Thanks for the podcasts! Keep 'em coming! Nice to have a podcast with this level of intellectual curiosity and evidenced based thinking.

Lawrence, invite him again. He is brilliant. I can't find any other videos with him talking. I just learned about him. Wow.

You can check out the Modern Healthspan channel, there are a couple of shorter interviews with Church.

Advice for future chapters: Lawrence Krauss should keep quiet while the guest is talking. Is very annoying to constantly hear a "yeah yeah, right, yes" in the background while Church is making very interesting points. It makes it seems as if Krauss doesn't care about his ideas and rather can't wait to say his own arguments.

Thank you so much for bringing us such amazing podcasts & this particular one has to be my favourite as I'm a huge fan of George Church, so genuinely thank you ♥️🤗

Very interesting. Church doesn't think about *the* future but about the *futures*, plural, and admits it boils down to physics, chemistry and, presumably, politics (because we must select among the futures). Fascinating. Thank you.

This was a great discussion, although toward the end Krauss climate change alarmism comes out with some worst case scenario that almost no climate scientists think will happen and Church has good responses to that. Also, Church said that Moore's Law is slowing down, which is true, but there are already methods being used to keep the exponential computing power curve continuing at least to 2030.

That's the whole point! This is not meant to be an interview, but rather a conversation, because both people can provide a valuable input on the theme being discussed.

It sounds like Lawrence have no good idea what George is talking about, looses interest and then ask the wrong questions.

'have' should be 'has', 'looses' should be 'loses', 'ask' should be 'asks' ... and 'forethought' is a tool worth considering. I enjoyed the podcast.

I have washed my hands, and have not driven (much) or taken a train or a plane in the last 3 to 4 months, as has the world - we have all been in lockdown, and yet CO2 continued to grow to reach a new all-time record high on the 5th of this month. I would say this indicates humans have nothing to do with CO2 level on the global scale of things. It should have fallen, even a little. It continues to grow. You have to explain this; we have shut down the world's economy and it continues to grow. I would further add that I think this result concurs with the contrary view; that temperature leads the CO2 level, as by Henry's Law, as by the physics.
@lkrauss14 жыл бұрын
growth of co2 slowed.. exactly as expected... sorry.
