It's a crying shame that there's no proper film shootings of Geoge's rare live performances on the UK soil. For God's sake that should've been a HUGE EVENT to record! I can't believe it.Glad to hear this, though. I thought he couln't reach those high notes anymore.
@vitorbastos12310 жыл бұрын
Totally agreed with you... George didnt record this concert was a shame, it would be amazing to watch
@elvicare359 жыл бұрын
+Li Lise Look at all of the great concert's they never filmed of Elvis, like his 1961 Benefit shows and 1969 concerts, with his return to live performances, and the people who saw the concerts said they've never seen anything remotely close to his dynamic, great and awesome in person performances!!!!!
@vitorbastos1239 жыл бұрын
George's wife Olivia said that George didnt like to have camera crew onstage, thats why I think they didnt record this concert. George didnt want to be distracted on stage.
@jabrother8 жыл бұрын
Agreed his singing is superb during this show!!

@elvicare35 We've gotten awfully spoiled by the Internet. I certainly agree with you that many great concerts were never recorded, but who expected them to be watched decades later. But you're right.

I can never understand why some people find it necessary to pit The Beatles against each other. "George is better than Paul, John is better than George, blah blah blah. just stop it, people. They were all great, ok?
@quad51869 жыл бұрын
Maybe if they only pit the animated versions against each other, no one really gets hurt...

When Ringo joined, they were a complete band, loved them all, proud Ringo is still touring.

They pitted themselves against each other. Which probably fueled a lot of the greatness both inside the Beatles and in their subsequent solo careers.
@6610stix4 жыл бұрын
@@quad5186 I'd like to see a Celebrity Death Match between the Beatles. George wearing a rubber batman mask and bitchslapping John Lennon to the mat. Ringo diving off the top rope and knocking down a dazed and disoriented Paul then putting him in a full nelson or a sleeper hold. Pinning him there to a count of ten. An event long over due in this music historian's opinion. Beyond the Beatles and Into the Thunder Drome 2020 SUNDAY!! SUNDAY!! SUNDAY!!

The early 70s were a magical period for George. I never got to see him live. Shame!
@demonrouge33383 жыл бұрын
If you did he would have appreciated you being there. I know. I still have my 1974 ticket stub. I was right up front and I was rocking out and loving it and he saw me and walked over to my side of the stage and looked right at me and smiled like he was saying “yes, enjoy it”. It pierced my heart with love. He was a very enlightened person.

And where are all those great Lennon/McCartney covers?
@leogoodfriend69637 жыл бұрын
What he's saying is that while Lennon and McCartney were great songwriters, they were not great musicians. They were very good, but not great. George on the other hand was a good songwriter (not great but very good) and yes, a GREAT musician.
@MrBKuv7 жыл бұрын
MrGandharva108 , I'm not a musician and didn't know that. Very interesting. Now that I think about it stuff like Here Comes the Sun probably take a lot if skill.

thank you for posting! George was the only ex Beatle that could perform his songs with conviction and actual feeling. McCartney to this day thinks he is still 21 and just needs to put an act on. And any Lennon post Beatle performances showed he was not any good with out the rest and only performed bs tunes. Ringo only has ever done cover songs and never written anything, he gets wide audiences because of his name and who else is on the bill with him.
@2011littlejohn14 жыл бұрын
Was that Andy Fairweather on guitar? Now there's an underrated talent to use a much overused word but I think for once is correct.
