It's SO lovely to see George saying he and Andrew wrote the song together, as so many people still believe the story that the press put about at the time saying that Andrew was only in the band because he was George's friend and that he neither contributed to the songs or played the guitar, which is disrespectful to both of them, as they were always so honest about themselves and each other, and as they refused to talk to the press, who were negative about them from the start, the press made up nasty stories about them both. God bless you, George, you were and always will be the greatest, and God bless Andrew, too, for his contribution and his support of George, and thank you both for the joy you gave us.

Yes !!! And to say that Andrew was only in the band because of George, when the TRUTH is that if it weren't for Andrew, Wham! would not have even existed ! He had to really push George to finally say, OK, let's do it ! I think he pretty much gave George an ultimatum ! What a shame the press had to be so freakin' nasty ! Disgraceful !

Andrew just started out of boredom, but he didn't know that George would explode! I read your book, I shouldn't have! He almost only pushes himself forward, even though George is the main character now and forever! Has anyone heard Andy play guitar solo? George took him everywhere as a friend, but not for his guitar solo.

He was such a sweet, lovely man. I hope he was happy, sometimes it seems he had a sad time. When he was with Wham! he always seemed to be laughing and happy, but even then fame and the press were getting at him. I wish they'd left him alone and just gloried in his writing and singing. I saw an interview with him long after he'd started his solo career when he wad saying how he tried to ignore what the press said but that it was hard to do that. I hate the press.

He had Andrew's friendship & companionship with Wham! George said he got so lonely touring without Andrew, that It almost drove him crazy ! We all know Wham! had to split up, but it's a shame that, somehow, Andrew couldn't have traveled with him, to keep him grounded ! George just might not have been so destructive with his life ! What a Blessing that would have been ! 💔😭💔

@@lavenderfields2910 I agree totally. It's so ironic that George's parents thought Andrew was a bad influence on him, and told George he couldn't go round to their house any more! Turned out that Andrew was a really good influence and as you so rightly say, if they'd been together George might still be with us.

@@penelopedewollaston7981 I think George's parents came around & loved Andrew as George did ! It will drive me crazy to think of the "what ifs" , and yet, I can't stop myself ! Like, what if he'd never met Fadi...I don't think Fadi loved George at all ! The whole morning of George's passing is bizarre ! I know Elton tried to help & George wouldn't let him ! I'm sure George thought he had everything under control ! I don't know if His pneumonia scare had anything to do with George's heart problems, but I'm sure whatever drugs he was taking, didn't help at all ! I just read an interview the other day, & another singer said he felt bad, thinking maybe some of them could have helped George more...that he seemed really lonely ! And I just wanted to scream out "Why didn't you?" I can't remember who it was...maybe Duran Duran...not sure ! 💔😭💔

This a great video on George. And regarding hashtags, sometimes a video without all the bells and whistles or quality goes viral on KZbin.
