This song is so dear to me. I cried for him when his mother died, and loved this tribute. then two years later I lost my mother, and this song gave me so much comfort. And sadly now that George has died, I've come back to this gem for another round of comfort. God bless and comfort his poor father, to have lost both his wife and now his youngest son. Yog's family are not alone in crying over this tragic lost.

Been listening to this song nonstop (sometimes just in my head) since I remembered it's existence yesterday. Such a beautiful song. And the vocals are perfection. I can't listen to this song without tears in my eyes...and sometimes they pour out. On the CD single (remember those??) I have, which was apparently an import from Tower Records (remember those??) there is a second song, by Toby Bourke alone, which is also fantastic. Called "The Things We Said Tonight". Check it out. After seeing the video again on here, I asked Alexa to play the song and she came up with some remix that just kills the mood of the song, in my opinion. Anyway, I'm just sitting here on a rainy day in March 2021 missing George like crazy. Grateful for all the videos/interviews/etc. that can be found here.

When I first heard this I did not understand the meaning of the song. But I think I get it now lol. Toby is the husband mourning the loss of his wife and George is the son mourning the loss of his mother. Makes sense. This came out soon after George's mum died.

Well, when you think about it George's mother was a ballroom dancer. She did know how waltz, hence the title of this song. He adored her so much. What a loss for him. I can't imagine the devastating pain he never got over. His heart was broken after that happened and I guess he just never recovered. What a sensitive Beautiful Soul.
