I'm on my third pair of Georgia wedge sole boots. I live in Arizona and do a lot of outdoor construction walking around in the streets. if you do a lot of walking in hot weather these are the best.

I pack rebar all day every day. I’ve gone through red wings, thorogood, and Georgia’s. Georgia’s is my go to. Steel toe doesn’t cave in like thorogood wedge moc toes. The insole is the best part and extremely comfortable. I highly recommend these boots . They last forever

GB152 greatest boot ever. My modifications are these: 1) Order 1/2 size bigger 2) By a pair of Spenco Cross Trainer insoles 3) Cut insoles and install. Enjoy the difference. :) Note: I like the wide model.

I bought these on clearance and wasn't expecting to like them so much. These have been the best work boot I've tried and I didn't even want to like them. They are better than my thorogoods for heavy use in concrete trade. More comfortable also. Thorogood "speed" lace is a joke. These Georgia boots know what it means to make a speed lace set up. Thorogoods wore out in 6 months. Im on these Georgia's for over a year of heavy use and still plenty of life left.

I have the waterproof 6" version of these. The current versions have the removable footbed, mine have a nice gore-tex liner, and I've swapped out the laces. So many of these issues are solved. They also have a steel shank, in response to a comment saying that they didn't. I think there is some boot snobbery here, as they also are generally well constructed with nice, ultra-thick leather that's soft and (in my case) water resistant and somewhat mark and stain resistant. I know they are work boots, and people don't approve of them being made in China. But they are literally 2X the boot the Kodiak Magog is, which you gave praise, despite it's thin delicate leather. Yes, I'm comparing a work boot to a casual boot. But I wear them both casually and they both cast about $100. I'm happy I bought the Georgia boot, but disappointing I was influenced by your review of the Magog.

Im an ironworker I can tell you that the insole is the best part of them I don't care if it comes out or not it's very comfortable the hillcup is horrible it is so stiff it worn blisters on both the insides of my heels I'm hoping it will soften up other than that it's extremely comfortable walking in but the heels are too stiff

I wore these boots in a steel toe and they were super comfortable walking miles a day. The laces are trash and recommend getting a pair from your local red wing store. I will confirm that they aren't the best in slippy conditions but they are just so comfy when you break them in.

Only boot I would ever use soft comftorble leather well placed steel toe wedge sole is the way to go if you are walking across rebar. Reason being that a 90 degree heel gets caught on things and can trip you I get usually 6 months of hard use building concrete forms/heavy bridge construction it handles walking on rocks rebar and climbing efco forms i stand by these boots

I work doing landscape construction and between these, Danner boots, and diehards I'm lucky to have a boot last 6 months. The USA made wedge Georgia Boot however lasted me a year. I'm getting them resoled and they'll last undoubtedly another one. Leather is in great condition, the sole is just worn sideways. Hard rubber soles are the only soles I've had thatve lasted long, but I find they only come on s word foreign made boots. The Georgia wedge boots that are made in the USA last long enough to justify an $80 resole once a year.

I wear this boot just about everyday. I even work with acids and the sole has held up. I’ve been in wet weather too and never had wet socks but I did spray mine with guard when I first got them.They are very comfortable. the toe end of the sole is wearing out way quicker than the rest. Also there is very little grip in The sole. These are marketed as barn/ farm boots which would probably mean you’d be on softer surfaces which wouldn’t wear out the sole as fast as construction jobs. I would buy again.

I love these boots. I could afford more expensive boots but these are so comfortable I stick with them. I wore them for 3 years delivering chemicals to coal mines in WY and have worn them for 3 years in AZ. I'm a belly dump truck driver/owner, mechanic and fabricator. They are excellent warm/hot weather boots and worked fine in the cold weather getting in and out of the truck. The laces and soles do get damaged from slag when using a cutting torch but the leather holds up well. They last me almost 2 years, by that time the soles are worn down, the toes are worn to the steel and I'm usually on my second or third pair of laces.

Yes. An older review now. But the boot is still exactly the same. This is an excellent all year around; all wear around boot. Takes me a whole year to wear down through the tough molded urethane contact sole surface. I replace the whole boot set every May/June when it heats up. Leave them factory natural breathable for the summer. Once the wet begins in Fall then slather them up With Hubberds Boot Grease. This makes them truly water proof. Good for wet grasses, weeds and up to 3" puddle stomping. The laces are thick and need so. I've substitued in thinner stronger boot laces - then actually lace worn thru the eyelets. The reviewer is correct about the not-so-good glued in footbed. Doesn't allow then for customization. It does eventually conform kinnda'sorta. And is durable. So Georgia change nothing. S.U.

My local repair store had these brand new while dropping off my Danners and sold them to me for $60 and after researching the MSRP I was happy. I never experienced anything like this before.

A full gusset would be a great modification. Grain gets right in the boot the way they are made now.

I can't get behind the laces criticism, they hold a knot well out of the box. I think that's why a lot of the hiking boots share a similar big squishy lace design. What frustrates me is the super oily yellow laces that get sold with a lot of higher end boots (thorogood especially). By the time they hold a knot well they're chafing in the eyelets.

That same day I get home from work and I notice a big part of the sole came out on the left side where the arch is a big hole it creep me out I think that the sole they are using on the Barracuda Wedge Boots are garbage they don't stand up to regular standard I have other Georgia Boots I never had a problem with them before. I got a pair about a month back and they were the steel toes, but i ordered a 10.5 wide and seems a size and a half too small😪 all i can say is that i haven't been uncomfortable once except for breaking them in, but after about a week or so they broke in, and even though they're a little tight around the ball of my foot, its been extremely comfortable. I'm only worried about them to not last as long they will need to for me but im looking for a moc toe steel toe boot that'll fit my needs more. I have only ever had georgia boots and i think i need to expand my options

there's a boot made by Georgiaboot called a "GLX". i have a pair and i have had several pairs in the past. the boot has a blue colored removable in-sole that has a real deep center heel section that goes way deep into the heel of the boot. your heels never bottom-out. this relieves heel pain for me. i have heel spurs. i can work and walk normally with the GLX boots. i would like to find another brand of work boots that have the same heel relief in-soles, but don't have the insulation sewn-in on the inside. i would also like to find similar heel relief cowboy boots. do you know of any and please do tell if you do because i certainly would appreciate it? liked video & thank you very much.

@drec.1348 жыл бұрын
Thanks I did Iron Worker work for a while and never tried a pair.
@elementcreator18 жыл бұрын
Dre C. A wedge sole boot is the closest you can get on a work boot to sneakers. Picture your self like a basketball player on concrete around the job site, the flat sole make you surefooted. Heels on boots are useless unless your on a horse is all looks and added height kind of gay. Women where heels to make them look sexy, why would a man where boots with heels at work?
@highdesertexplorer1237 жыл бұрын
Element Creator while I would agree that wedge boots are way more comfortable than heeled boots. I myself will only use heeled boots for work due to the fact that I work off ladders all day for work. Way safer to be on a ladder with a boot that has a heel. If you don't need a heel don't buy it, your feet will thank you.

Georgia boots are 100% garbage. My list of complaints. 1. The rubber sole is so soft you can push a simple pencil through the sole or even the heel. The entire sole came apart ant these can’t be repaired. They will streak up any flooring including carpeting. The will even streak up your driveway or sidewalk. The comfort core material is nothing more than a concept idea to save leather; except it isn’t even leather; it’s fake leather with a few leather components here and there. My biggest complaint is; every single thing about the product. Now; I’m a structural fabricator, commercial diver living on a small farm raising a few head of Angus and my horse. I clear my own Woods, cut my own hay and set my own fences. These boots aren’t suited for either or any of these tasks they have completely fallen apart. Now; being somewhat of an inventor of tools for the marine industry and oil industry I figured I can rebuild these pieces of shit. I just bought a VIBRUM sole set, a set of inner soles and heels. Now; the crappy boot side skirts isn’t long enough or wrap under the boot like a normal pair so; I have to use the existing sole by removing the tread only and sewing a inner sole with a metal shank. Which these crappy boots don’t have. Then I’ll glue the primary VIBRUM sole on to the new inner sole which willl be sewn through the leather or fake leather through the junky soft rubber into the new inner sole. Then sand it all down. I’ll spend no less than 15 hours on each boot rebuilding them. The sonofabitches at GEORGIA BOOT and these bs SOBS promoting these boots should have their asses kicked. This is what is destroying AMERICA; SONOFABITCHES LYING FOR CORPORATE MFERS.
