#ORGANIC #SWD #GREEN2STAY 'Thankyou,(Under 6 Min Video). Anke Domaske is a 28 year old biologist and fashion designer who makes clothes from a very unusual fabric, milk yarn. She has come up with an easy and environmentally friendly way to extract fibres from milk and her designs are proving very successful.

Yep. Exactly like saying electric cars are "green" when you charge them with power coming from coal fire plants. Or saying the current system of ethanol production is "green" when they only destroy more land for crop production and the conversion process is dirtier than oil refinement at some plants.

It's quick to make so it is quite plausible that it is more eco-friendly then making cotton. Nobody's saying that it's completely green they're just saying it's good outweighs it's bad compared to what else is out there. The greenest thing to do would be for us to all walk around naked :P

Nice drape, but how does it last, how does it wear, and will it wrinkle if you look at it crosseyed?

@dancedanceyeah It's Eco-friendly when you consider that they use sub-standard milk that would otherwise have been thrown out. It's a pretty cool form of recycling. ^^

But will it blend? Seriously though, how durable is this.

Brilliant!
@NomFandubs12 жыл бұрын
honestly, do you not listen? The voiceover quite clearly said 'the milk used is substandard and would otherwise have been thrown out' therefore it is making use of something that would have been wasted.
@NomFandubs12 жыл бұрын
pretty sure they lady said it worked pretty much the same when washing as cotton because it's made from protein.

Actually I believe cheesecloth is called such because it is used in the making of cheese, not because it is made of cheese. Good day.

@NomFandubs12 жыл бұрын
they didn't say milk is ecofriendly but we're not going to stop milking cows anytime soon (for one they would all die) so why not make use of some of the waste we create from this and put it to good use? now that is being eco friendly.

@datzfast ahhhmmm, i think cheese cloth is made from cotton. it is just another name for a loosely woven cotton fabric. IT IS NOT MADE FROM CHEESE.
