I hope this may have some answers to why the song you were playing has reference to the Black Sea. You are correct that Poland ( Deutsch Polen) does not border the Black sea as does Romania. Now back to the song which in Polish is " Hej Sokoly" which means Falcon in Polish. There have been many disputes about this song which has a Ukrainian and Polish version. The reference to the Black sea is carryover from the Ukrainian version to Polish as Ukraine does border the black sea. The story that I have been told by my Polish grandparents was that the song was written by a Polish gentleman living in Ukraine at that time. I don't think the Germans have ever viewed their neighbors to the East in a favorable way. Much of this is how the Germans viewed Slavs as inferior to Germans a belief that was strongly withheld under the Nationalist Socialist Party during WW2. I strongly believe that inferior view of Poland and other Slavic nations does exist in Germany and Nordic nations even today which often is a result of not really having any direct contact or visitation to these countries but rather relying on prejudicial hearsay.
