I agree that for those who can't ride a bicycle, trikes are a way to keep riding. I'm dreading that day.

I bought a trike at age 72. Since then, I've learned many people much younger than I am have trikes. If I had known about trikes at a much younger age, I would have bought one. Trike riding, IMHO, is much more fun than being on a two wheeler, mainly because you suddenly realize how much energy you were wasting keeping yourself balanced. Trikes are like those Go-Karts of long ago times! Fun! And no rock hard triangle shaped thing shoved up into that part of you where it don't belong!!!😁 For that matter, where just about anything doesn't belong.

I was going to buy a fully suspended electric ice adventure for my wife but David mentioned you had a lot of initial problems and had to go back to the dealer a number of times. We live in Canada so we are 600 miles round trip from the nearest dealer. Was ice's quality control not up to par? Thanks again for the video.

My problems centered around the HUB. I recommend the Rohloff hub since that is maintenance free. Otherwise the ICE trike is good quality.

What brand of trike did you buy? I have a similar story, except I'm a lot heavier. I've e ridden for about 50 years dong centuries and a couple of doubles. Now like you I am 81+ and my road bike stays in the garage. I tried buying an electric bike, but that didn't work for me. I live in Las Vegas so we usually have descent weather for riding. I looked at a Performer trike this weekend, I liked the handling and it was easy to peddle, unfortunately AI couldn't find a way to et out of the saddle without help. It looked like the trike you have in the video was a little higher mand had places to grab when getting out. I ride a stationary recumbent for 30 minutes, 5 days a week so riding shouldn't be a problem.
