Grand final time is perfect. Go to a mates house for BBQ lunch at 12 noon WST. A few quick coldies. Then the match starts at 12.45pm and you settle down for a few hours watching and then leave around 4pm perfect. Works well at pub where the steak sandwich will turn up halfway through the first quarter. Make the match later and then you turn up at 3pm and have bounced down at 3,30pm WST. I guess you can buy a pizza at end of match, but its not as good. Its an Aussie tradition to watch the grand final around lunchtimes and guarantees a good viewing audience at least in my city.

I'd be fine with moving the GF to twilight, but I don't trust the likes of McGuire and Hutchison to just leave it there. They would have a MAFS wedding at 3 qtr time if they thought it would increase ratings.

Twilight GF is perfect because it gives you plenty of time to celebrate afterwards. The problem with the night GF is by the time it finishes you only get an hour or so to celebrate and then ya gotta wind it down for midnight noise restrictions.

I remember when my son was looking to high school, St beads mentone said no, hailbury said no , so mid year at high school he played with dingley, the met St beads and hailbury, he starred , then funny the offered a full school scholarship, he turned them down but did transfer to St. Beads mentone to play club footy

The lack of male teachers in junior school and high school doesn't help,the lack of someone to look up to and sports etc doesn't help this is a big issue, at state junior school lack of male teachers caused my husband to coach the school footy team he worked nights , got to the grand final then the principle took over for the grand final stuffed it up then at 3/4 time handed it back to my hubby 6 goals down but had the wind , he changed the team around front to back attack attack hand ball long kicks to goal, they kicked 8goals 4 to 1 point last quarter won the premiership on my sons last year at state school,

Are you talking nine news in general or just nine news in melbourne? in some cities the nine news and sport gets absolutely poleaxed by Seven. Eddie is highly selective in just talking about Melbourne and then ignoring the other cities in Australia. But making it sound that what Seven does with their news and sport impacts other cities. No one sees Tim Watson in their news broadcasts around Australia. Its just a Mlbourne thing.

The Swans have an unfair home ground advantage. Their ground is too short & too narrow. They should move to a larger ground or knock down a portion of the stands & redevelop the playing surface to be longer & wider! Otherwise they will rarely lose a home game & will be in the top 4 for decades to come. Just make it fair for all teams!

The ground is to minimum regulations. In world sport standards, the AFL ovals are quite uniform. Go to the EPL and see the variations. They change the pitch dimensions yearly to suit the coach and playing style.

Foxtel is the best coverage of football , channel 7 run 5 adds after a goal , holy he'll the other team scored u miss 1 min 38 seconds, sorry channel 7 I'm glad I got foxtell, were in central qld and only get brissy or gold coast games from ch 7 , fox you rule
