One of the main reasons Rose defended him with the cops is because she didn’t want a paper trail, had he been arrested or got a ticket it wouldve folded their plans because Rells character would’ve had something to go off of. She showed from the beginning, that she had no emotions with the deer moment watching it die with no feelings. Lastly, when he was in orientation, peep how “picking cotton” ironically is what saved the brother.

If you noticed in the movie, Rose targeted black women as well. When she was scrolling through pictures of her former targets on her laptop, there were a couple women in there as well

Good episode, I do think y'all are off base about the brother not being bought in. He was salty because he couldn't get Chris's body. Also, he didn't just happen upon lakief's character and hit him in the head. His sister was on the line with him, and she intentionally got him lost. Remember, he was following a ladies' directions when he got ambushed. She is the honey pot and the brother is the hunter.

1. When the dad said, “my mother loved her kitchen so we keep a piece of her in here” then the camera cuts right to Georgena. Brilliant writing. 2. When everybody stopped what they were doing to look up to here what Chris was doing upstairs reminded me of trading places when everyone in the restaurant stopped just to listen at what Eddie had to say. 3. Rod was all of us living in the real world while trying to help his friend thats trapped in a bad fantasy.

Get Out just hit differently for me because very much like Jordan Peele, I grew up around a lot of white folks. My parents enrolled me in predominantly white schools, and we lived in the suburbs. I say all that to say that growing up, most of the girls I had access to were white, so naturally, that's who I dated. Now I feel all y'all rolling your eyes. It was who I was around. That said, there were plenty of times when the white girl finally wanted to introduce me to their family, and I felt that same fear that Chris did in the film. Am I gonna be chased off their property with a shotgun or worse? This movie takes that fear and dials it up to 1000 by actually making a reason for you to be terrified of these people that's tangible and not at all what you'd expect and that messed with me!!

This is such an excellent movie and one of those that I'm so excited to show people that haven't seen it. Very "rewatchable" But the first time I saw it I was so unsure what to make of so many things that I felt very much in Chris' shoes and was so distracted trying to figure out what is happening that I missed some of the more obvious surface clues. The humor, especially for Rod... is just amazing, it's what makes all the gruesome stuff feel worth it. Chris (Daniel) did such an outstanding job playing this part believable but also understood Jordan's vision... the physical transformation of his face when he yells "gimme those keys" is almost alien level of facial movement- but all the subtle expressions where he is sort of amused but concerned at the same time... man he just absolutely crushed this. The tea cup sound actually bugs me too... I actually kinda wish they mixed that sound a tad lower lol
