I’ve never heard of Calcium’s interaction with our “security system”. All I know is that I’ve been low carb for 6 years, lost 150lbs, and have not had a cold since. I make all my meals from scratch. I don’t eat any sugars whatsoever, and I don’t eat pasta, flour, rice, bread, or white potatoes. I do have an occasional Sweet Potato.

Sounds like you're doing a lot of things right in that regard, since high carb foods and sugars can pull calcium out of the tissues, it makes sense that would not get sick as often by eating that way.

Great vid. I have asthma. When I catch a cold, it gets worse with a cough, then a flu. I usually only get well after 3 weeks or more. Will definitely try this out. Thanks!

One simple thing really helps me when I feel a cold coming on. If my nose feels cold or dry, I wear a light scarf or mask that covers the nose and mouth. The object is to keep the nose warm and moist. If nose should get stuffy, this will prevent the throat from drying out, especially when you sleep. Kept me from having it bad or long.

Wow! Blown away - love this, thank you so much Tony!! ⚡ (If you haven't done a video on calcium supplementation, and symptoms of too much/not enough, please do! I'm off to search for it in your playlist ...) 🥛

@@KickItNaturally 👏 I ask bc though I've listened to the book, I've not applied anything. I added LOTS of plain Greek yogurt (sometimes full/sometimes low-fat, now going for triple strained 0% fat Chobani bc I read it has the strains I may need) > I do know from your work that I NEEDED ACID! 🙃 It helps me poop like a champion >> however! Now my brain isn't working bc it interferes w/thyroid meds (TSH went to 35). < What's going on in the liver (?) regarding that?! Please 'splain for Freshman. (Obv I'm now trying to take away from meds, but if you can help me understand. I also take mg to help my D go up. It was in the tank at 29, now 71ish. I supplemented a half bottle w/k2, but also tried to be more natural and get real sun. If that's a thing anymore, iykwim. Rain, I mean rain. ;)

Does "too much Vitamin D" also apply if you only get Vitamin D from the sun? One would assume since we evolved in the sun, our bodies know exactly what to do.
@KickItNaturally3 ай бұрын
It can because there are a lot of other factors involved. So too much sun can create a similar effect as taking too much vitamin d

If checking at home, is there any way to get a more precise urine pH than the test strips that only show whole numbers? How critical is it to be checking to a 0.0 decimal value?
@KickItNaturally3 ай бұрын
It's not. You're just looking to get a picture of is it high or is it low. You don't need NASA equipment or anything. :)

I'll add this to my list to cover in a future video. But in many cases, it has to do with the things we're talking about here that can pull calcium out of the tissues and leave too much calcium floating around.
