This allowing the body to rotate more in the backswing is what ridded me of the slice . I find if i keep my mind on the lead thumb allowing a nice wide arc , it makes my shoulders go round to a much more open and balanced position from where i can just follow the path back . I do have a tendency to rush from the top and this move also slows my hips from getting ahead . It is a work in progress with my irons but its nice to just point my shoulders at the target and fire away with driver and im way past any honeymoon period . The problem i have with irons is i try to be to precise and it causes tension , on the days im going with the flow my shots tumble its easy to know but hard under pressure ..

Yes, that's the beauty of the game! Learning to let go of control and trust when you really, really want the result or fear the outcome of a poor result! Keep on training what you are doing!

@@danmartingolf.. that’s why some of the best players say they are thankful, they leave the result for the Universe or God to sort out. They say being grateful is a key part of dealing with pressure 🤔

I have a net at home. I'm a single handicap. I draw the ball through manipulation as it is explained on your video. Tried this turning more and less upper rotation and it is an eye opener. Thank you! Also, how do I hit a cut shot with your instruction?
@danmartingolf4 ай бұрын
Thanks! This would be my preference for the cut, but there are other ways for sure! Make sure the face is gripped slightly open and move the ball position more forward so the orbit of the club is moving the path a bit more left. The object will be to get the face left of the target to start the ball left, but the face open to the path so it curves back to the target. Tiger often approached draws and fades by using the ball position to influence the path and face relationship at impact for slight shot shaping.

Love that handle with the string and weight. Is that custom made or bought? 👍

Hey Dan how do you know how far to bend over when using the pro.
@danmartingolf3 ай бұрын
It really depends on your intention of the elliptical orbit you want to create with it and what is natural for your body. Focus on trusting your intuition on this one... Be sure to use the My True Swing app for guidance on the PRO basics "Getting Started with the PRO'. Thanks!

The pros & long drive competitors look like they are using their levers to force the club to accelerate & achieve their ridiculous swing & ball speeds at times. What am I missing?
@danmartingolf4 ай бұрын
Great question! Yes, that is an illusion. Going fast requires incredible coordination around our line of gravity - it's innate. To create amazing speed you have to learn to remove restriction. Speed training is about getting the mind to let go of control BUT to achieve high speeds you must remove the application of torque and force to the club as well as any muscular attempt to control direction - it will slow you down every time. It will also destroy the timing required to execute the motion effectively. If you can, without a ball, simply go out an swing your driver as fast as you can. (WARM UP FIRST!!!) You will notice that your body has to let go of restriction to get the speed up. When it goes really, really fast, it feels weightless and out of control. But at the same time, the path of the club is actually amazingly predictable. When you video your most FREE and UNRESTRICTED swing - it will look fast and like body parts are all doing different things - but your experience will be one of not really being able to comprehend how you are doing it. That's why it's so dangerous to try to copy elite golf motions, it gives you a false impression of how they are actually executing the motion!

Do you think you could make more content on grip/grip pressure? This is the only one I could find kzbin.info/www/bejne/laPIoIt3n9x5b9ksi=xqDtbbIlxKU3jv6U. Love your work
