Today, I will share how to get rid of toenail fungus for under $2.
Toenail fungus is in the family of fungi, yeast, and mold. The body contains beneficial fungi as well pathogenic or unfriendly fungi. These microorganisms love a warm moist environment.
A common medication for toenail fungus is Lamisil.
Potential side effects of Lamisil:
• Increased liver enzymes
• Liver damage
• Lupus
• CNS damage
• Depression
• Loss of taste
• Jaundice
• Alopecia
Natural remedies for toenail fungus:
1. Epsom salts (this remedy will take time)
What to do:
• Add 2 tsp. Epsom salts to 4 cups of hot water
• Soak your feet in the solution for 15 minutes a day
• Dry your feet well
• Let your feet breathe
2. Tea tree oil
• It has been used topically for a long time for coughing, acne, dandruff, lice, scabies, and fungus
• It’s a natural wide spectrum anti-fungal compound
• It inhibits fungal mycelium
3. Iodine
• Put one drop of iodine on the toenail fungus every day
• Get decolorized iodine (will not stain) or povidone-iodine (can stain)
• Keep your feet dry
• Let your feet breathe
Fungi live on carbs. If you consume fewer carbohydrates, your risk of the toenail fungus returning will drop dramatically.

Had this most of my adult life. I am 57. Two years ago a friend turned me on to Dr. Berg near the beginning of 2020. I weighed 480. I started healthy keto and followed Dr Berg. Here I am 22 months later. The fungus has left and my toenails are clear. I have lost 180 pounds and still going. Eliminated all prescribed medication except for afib med. I dropped six pant sizes and will probably drop another within a month. Dr Berg gave me my life back. Education is key but it must be the proper information. The human body is amazing but we abuse our bodies thru improper nutrition. Thank you Dr. Berg

Doug Bowman by chance did you use either the iodine, tea tree oil or did your nail fungus clear up with carb restriction/modification? I was born in '62, so I am also in my kate 50's and this last couple years my fungus has spread from 1 large toe nail to all other 9 nails. I have just started a Keto/IF lifestyle in the last 2 months, not to lose weight but to be systemically more healthy and am so interested in getting this fungus in check. Congrats to you by the way!!☺

This was my fix: Every night going to bed, I would pull a latex thumb (Cut from a glove) with a paper tissue drowned in apple cider vinegar, over my toe (tissue covering the nail). I did this for a week and it killed the fungus. Did nothing after that, and after just over 6 months, my nail was as good as new. (From really ugly to perfect)

Same, except for the first week I soaked my feet in half white vinegar and water for an hour or two a day. Then, each morning I wiped just my toenails with a cottonball dipped in vinegar for 2-3 months plus I trimmed often the nails growing out. Wore open toes shoes mostly. My toenails had gotten the “greenies” fungus under polish and it progressed to eating it’s way under most of the length of my big toenails. So gross. Vinegar killed it! So happy.

My go-to remedy for toenail fungus is apple cider vinegar. Apply a few drops directly to the nail with an eyedropper, or put it on a cotton ball and just lay that on the affected nail for a few minutes, 2-3 times a day. I had toenail fungus since childhood, this cleared it up within a few weeks and it hasn't returned in the past 13 years. I'm 56.

Living in Oregon my wife and I both developed toe fungus. Everything there has fungus or mold, it's dark with fewer than average sunny days. We moved to a state with much more sunshine and we noticed our fungus was starting to retreat. We would keep our toes in the sun for about 20 minutes a day. It almost went completely away last summer but when winter came it came back. I figure it's the UV rays that kills the fungus which makes sense. I plan on trying the iodine and when this summer comes get some more sun.

A simple solution for nail fungus is simply dip your toes or fingers into a saturation of water and borax, and let dry through evaporation. The borax has a very small molecule and as such , will wick into the underlying structure of the toenail or fingernail. Let air dry to keep most boron in place. The boron simply keeps the ph of the structure above the survivability of the fungus, thus effectively eliminating it.

Had one toenail with a fungus for about 1 year, tried the $50 nail application for 3 weeks and it worked to a degree, but the fungus came back almost immediately. Then someone told me about high dose vitamin C (not for fungal removal, but for it's many health benefits). Anyway, I was on a weekend away drinking with friends and wondered if vitamin c would cure my hangover. So, on waking I took about 15-20 1200mg vitamin C tablets. Went off for the day, felt alright (other than said hangover) but that evening I noticed the skin under my toenail was massively inflamed. To the point where I couldn't bend my big toe. It was red and very puffy. I thought I must have picked up an infection. But there was no sign of puss. So, I decided to leave it alone and see if it reduced the next day. To my surprise it did. And after about 4 days the swelling had gone. Then the strangest thing happened. My toenail started to break and a fresh new toenail was coming through. I then researched to find out if vitamin c was anti fungal. And it was! The vitamin C had eaten away the fungus and given my toe a fresh start. The downside to this is waiting for the new nail to grow and the old one to fall off. Hope this helps!

Except that myco has nothing to do with toenail fungus and vice versa. Also toenail fungus doesn't live off of carbs (lol). The dermatophytes (that's what the individual fungi are called) subsist off of hard keratin - the substance your nails are made from and keratin is a protein.

I applied the same method on my clients (I'm an aged care worker), some of them had toenails fungus problems longer than I had. Everyone is happy with the results.

Hi Mate. I have had the same problem for years too, even worse. Decades actually. My itch is all over my feet and right knee and buttocks. I have tired so many things including pill medication, but nothing works. Hydrogen peroxide is probably the only thing that I haven't tried. I have sen and heard people use it for this, but I have not bothered because I have basically given up, but maybe I should make one last try. So can I ask, what % hydrogen peroxide do you buy and use pls? Thank you in advance. Desperate.

@@julietv3863 IF is intermittent fasting like John said, if you are diabetic and you do IF you MUST keep an eye on your sugar levels, it sometimes tends to go low, you need to try to keep your sugar level even w/o breaking the fast. Keto will not kill a diabetic, do your research, best to start with Dr.Berg's program on keto.though. If you're afraid of keto - then just do a lo-carb diet and keep a special eye on your quantities, that's where my problem is and that's what I've been doing. That works too, I've lost weight but not as quick as keto - which is probably better for diabetics. Try the lemon juice water and/or ACV if you don't have acid reflux. But drink a lot of water. Spend your research time with Dr. Berg - he's the best, even if you don't do his keto, he knows his stuff. Good Luck and God Bless.

I definitely agree about the sand! 💖 I would also like to add to your comment that if someone lives in the desert (like, you know, the Sonoran Desert) even walking in a nice sandy wash helps. But especially after a nice rain, when it is safely NOT flooding. The energy of the sand and minerals really helps emotionally for me. One of my favorite things is to walk after its dried a bit and find those areas where the sand has dried smooth and walk on that. It has a satisfying delicate crunch beneath my feet. Dr. Berg do you think Aloe Vera would help? I don't believe I have ever had this toenail issue, but then, once I get home the shoes are off! 😊 Gardening is so satisfying too. I sit with my plants as much as I can. I believe even potted plants have the energetic connection to Gaia.

Thanks Dr Berg! I've been afflicted with toenail fungus for the last six years! I also have candida overgrowth in my gut. I'm so glad I didn't use antifungal medications. Fasting for 20 days nearly knocked the infection on its head... until I started reintroducing certain foods. I knew to avoid dairy and carbs... but no one told me that yeasts and fungi feed candida! So, I'm there eating nutritional yeast and mushrooms... within a day all my symptoms came back: the bloated belly, insomnia, tiredness, brain fog, depression, insane carb cravings. I'm totally gutted. Still. Every mistake is a learning curve! I'm currently doing a candida cleanse, one recommended by Christa Orecchio. If you could do a video on candida I would be extremely grateful: especially dos and don'ts. It's a real nasty infection, really hard to get rid of. There is a simple test you can do to self diagnose yourself. Before eating and drinking, spit in a glass of water. If it floats you're fine. If it sinks, you're more fungus than human!

Hi Dr. Eric Berg, I had a toenail fungus for 23 years until I tried the colorless iodine 3 months ago and counting. I cannot believe that for the 1st time in 23 years, I see a quarter of an inch of healthy nail growing back! I don't care how long the nail takes to grow out and will continue to use the iodine consistently 2 x per day. To see some progress in 3 months is truly amazing. I thought I was seeing things to finally see the toenail fungus growing out. The nail was damaged from the toenail tip to the cuticle and only on the side of the nail & one toenail only . But it never grew in healthy until now. Thank you so very much!!!!

I let it dry before putting on any socks/shoes. I do it right after shower each morning, and just once a day. Since my post its now a half inch new nail has grown in. I keep all my shoes, I don't think you have to throw them out. I also change my socks daily ofcourse. This year I will not paint my toenails lol since I must take care of this fungal infection. Make sure to rub the iodine up the toe as well. The fungus root is up in the toe. And NO SUGAR not even honey. Like cancer, fungus loves sugar (and carbs as Dr. Berg said.) @@buckmurdock2500 no she probably doesn't mean that but it's much better than that guy who preaches in his tank top or half naked showing off his over developed muscles while mixing up a batch of his most current protein shake concoction - I think that's just gross!

THIS GUY! This guy is a truly good human. Only when you self-actualise (like Dr. Berg) and become sufficiently self-aware, you reach this point of 'humanity' and start selflessly giving to the world what you can. In his case, the invaluable knowledge. Thank you ! Thank you for being a bright spot. You should go to sleep with a smile every day, knowing you are doing these great things for everyone i nthe world.
