I have been listening to Mind Pump for about 5 years now and I'm still blown away by the original content, tips, laughs, and life lessons that I'm still getting out of these guys. I also never thought at 5'1 and 105lbs I'd be eating over 2200 calories and maintaining my weight! Thanks to the Mind Pump crew I cut out excess cardio, reduced my stress and started lifting properly -- never thought doing less would give me so much more!! 💪💪😁💥💥

This week I ran into a friend from my early 20s who I used to workout with 6 days a week. Needless to say we were overtraining and not utilizing compound movements. We started talking about our routines that we are currently doing. I was shocked to discover he was doing the exact same thing as we were doing from our 20s. A younger me would have convinced him that maps programs are better for my gains. But the wise me convinced him that I feel better!! Move better! Workout less than before, and I am stronger than ever. I shared the KZbin channel with him and podcast. I am not a salesman or recruiter for mindpump but I will always recommend the channel to someone who is not listening to you guys yet because your message needs to be heard by the world!!!

You guys make me want to become a personal trainer, I just finished college and honestly I never felt more interested in learning more about any of my courses and i thought it was because I never really liked school... But I love listening to all the information that you guys provide and the more I listen the more I want to learn and to really understand what works for my body and WHY it works. And it's mind blowing how logical everything sounds, like you wanna lose fat? you gotta eat more so your body stops saving up fat for when it runs low on food... It's like, how did I not know this and why did it not occur to me?! Like, it's so logical once you understand that your body it's just trying to survive!

yeah but its more good foods while cutting all the shit out, it wouldnt work otherwise. Besides if calorie deficit didnt work then you would be able to eat 500 cals a day and never starve, thats not the case tho. Its quite complex but all you need is calorie deficit.

Personal trainer for over 10 years here. Please do yourself and me a favour - personal trainer is a good thing you want to simply want to help people as simple as that. BUT this is not a niche anymore like it was 10 years before, nowadays everyone is a "personal trainer" dont even have certificates or any experience behind their belts. Most of them are only in the game for the money and want to sell you products that dont even work or will tell you afterwards: "yeah but you need to combine it with three other programs" Don´t get me wrong being a personal trainer is great, but its not as easy as you think It is, especially today, where people believe 20 second tiktoks and not someone who trained for over a decade by themselves. The people often looked at me giving tips that are not in a magazine or in the next fad diet chapter of their favourite magazine and did not believed me and that I dont have a clue I should shut up. You really need a lot of positive energy and a down on earth personality, not someone who thinks hes superior because he looks a certain way and wants to "guru" you around. The best advise for training over two decades and being a personal trainer for a decade is this: Build It as a side hustle, inform yourself everyday for a short period of time of new topics etc., see after some months if it is still your passion to be a personal trainer and go further on this point If you want to. I quickly learned It the hard way, I was training clients ALL day, and after I finished my job, I did not want to hear ANYTHING anymore related to fitness and or sports - I dont even wanted to do sport myself anymore after hearing it ALL day. Now I´m working with people but in a more psychological way as a Coach AND on top of that giving them some tipps here and there fitness related and what they could do for example to boost their self-esteem. I wish you all the best If you truly want to become a personal trainer. -Nick

Having been both active duty Army as well as in the Reserves, the biggest issue for fitness in the Reserves is that people simply don't prioritize their physical fitness in their daily lives. I struggled with it myself at one point. It's a "motivational" and "make the time" issue in my experienced opinion. When active duty, motivation and time is made FOR you, as in you don't have much of a choice. As far as the standardized fitness tests go, even if you're a desk jockey or a drone operator, you're still considered a "rifleman" first. You have to be basically physically capable of combat and meet the standards of physical fitness, marksmanship, first aid, etc.

20 year old Swedish lifter/basketball entusiast/fitness fanatic right here! Been listening to you guys constantly for over 2 years now and been doing resistance training for 4 years. And while I have progressed majorly (starting off w/ maps aesthetic) I’m currently really lean (188cm, 77kgs, arm/shoulder/leg/ab-veins) and muscular looking, YET - believe I lack some strength in my conventional lifts (100kg Squats, 120kg Deadlift, 70kg bench, 50kg military) and plan to do a proper lengthier lean bulk incorporating new stimulants such as MAPS Strong. Much love guys, #1 fitness podcast in the world! //Simon

You guys put out awesome content! I recently increased my calories as I realised I was consuming just below my maintenance calories while trying to increase strength. I have decided I'd rather be strong than trying to lean out for summer this year. I've already lost the initial weight I wanted and cleaned up my intake to whole foods. Listening to you guys podcasts has gotten me to where I am now, so trusting the process and increasing intake for strength 💪

Also, I know I am but a measly listener/watcher, but Justin if you saw my DM about an episode idea, it would be interesting to do that. Even if not, and you don’t bring someone on who’s doing that type of training, I think an episode dedicated to beginner old-school traditional lifting training like bent rows, Steinbrenner lifts, and Arthur presses, would be cool. Specifically, I know you have a male audience predominantly, but us women would love to learn how to use any variations of these or lifts that use the same principles to get the same benefits and have the same fun with the style of training. Just a thought ✌🏼

I have a client who’s been with me since August 2021. She’s managed to add 400 cal to her maintenance, and after doing an anabolic type program in the beginning, has found a love for barbell moves like high pulls snatch deadlifts bb cleans and such. She said the other day, that she never thought she’d be doing all of these moves, much less doing them while eating more food yet losing weight. She had a disorder passed from very young, so I didn’t get an initial weight and body fat percentage when I started with her. I’m so glad we decided not to do that, but mentally she feels ready and has just a couple months past stepped on the scale for the first time to see that she has lost 10 overall pounds. She’s stronger and notices much more muscle definition and waist is smaller, so obviously with the increase in calories for her maintenance she has gained muscle. What a positive, nurturing way to go about losing weight. I know it’s journey it’s not all about doing things that feel good, or that would be body positivity, but it is so amazing what happens when you trust your body to do the things it’s supposed to do. Not sure I would’ve gone this route from the get-go if I hadn’t found you guys right before lockdown, so thank you! From me and my clients.

I’ve been working out 4-6 times a week consistently since the top of the year I drastically lost 20 pounds and now I’m kind in that stagnant area we’re my weight fluctuates 3-5 pounds but I’m much stronger and definition is starting to show it self in my body composition. My caloric deficit is pretty consistent but I’m feeling a bit discouraged and because I know my end goal and it seems like I’m plateau at weight loss.

Love the videos and how you guys hit many topics, helps me solidify my own research. Anyways, just wanted to say that the show raised by wolves is actually based on the alien franchise, if I’m correct it’s how it all starts.

Wow, they covered the Army Combat Fitness Test! I think it’s an improvement from the previous test with push-ups, sit-ups, and 2 mile run but logistically it’s a pain to set up for hundreds of Soldiers.

I like how Adam addresses what the caller said on the phone. I don’t agree with Sal going so hard on selling MAPS Anywhere without addressing anything she said.

TikTok is actually not for just kids. Lot of friends and fam have an account just to watch vids and we send vids, and we are in our 40s. For me it’s Podcasts, TikTok, and KZbin.

Justin’s got the best physique on the podcast, maybe the best physique in the content industry. Truly awing. Its something I feel needs to be chiseled in marble and placed in my living room. Or placed outside my church to worship. I’ve never seen anything like it. I’ve only heard of something that beautiful in mythological tales, until i laid eyes on this podcast. You could play hide and go seek on his sternum between his chest. You could use his obliques as a knife sharpener. Forearms like popeye and traps like the great pyramid of Giza. Legs of a bull and the face of Hermes. If this doesn’t win maps prime Im fucking giving up and watching vshred videos

I am, just wanted to say your mods are the real fucking deal, excuse my French. I’ve never felt a deep DOMS like this before. Do you know how you have those muscle groups that just no matter how hard you worked before, you don’t get a lasting pulp or soreness or any indication you were successful targeting just that group? That was me and quads for the majority of my time worked out for a decade now. I would get a burn on high reps, high volume of training, and there were maybe two workouts total and I remember being real sore for days from, but since starting your quad mod three weeks ago holy crap every workout felt fail hammer almost exclusively my quads, and I’m sitting here writing sis now with the dean throbbing in them as I drive home, incredulous and marveling about Cow after a decade of training and training certification later, I’m finally feeling like I’m making progress in the slagging body parts. There’s a left to right asymmetry, so I’m thinking of running optometry soon after. But if you’re thinking about it, don’t choose this comment for the giveaway! I bought that as soon as it came out 😂 i’ve done it before, but next I’m gonna do the butt might again and also the cats. You guys are seriously responsible for finally getting mass in my lower body, and that has helped my knees and hips and overall even upper body stability so much. Nothing more to say, keep doing what you’re doing, and if anyone is hesitant about the Maps mods don’t be! I’ve done two now and they are absolutely worth it!
