He is just being genuine and real. Being genuine and real is a fun thing in a county where everything is fake , people are all liars, truth doesn't exist etc. You can tell, he is actually surprised that people laugh to what he says here in the US , where as in some other countries he is just saying obvious things!

What he tried to say he makes riskier jokes in Finland than in North America. Pretty smart to start with language and maybe do something different when people learn his delivery.

me too, something is just funny about him, in a good way. Not only as he speaks but facial expressions etc. Also one comment, was like he hit a horse etc. People u wont believe, someone who is a great comedian or actor doesnt equal a great human being in some cases. But yeah sure that poor horse, that hit hurt like hell...please give me a break, u puny human wish u had the bone structure and strength of a horse. That horse felt nothing significant. He hit him, yeah not a good move, but again if im not mistaken we are just fckin humans after all, not perfect by a longshot. So haters gonna hate. Again i like him too.

He is the Finnish George Carlin. The US is so disconnected to reality that if you're real and genuine, you become a natural comedian.
@jaana3634 Жыл бұрын
You can make comics for Finns in the American language. We even understand it. And yes, small talk is also practiced in Finland; you can talk about the weather freely, but don't ever, ever ask a Finn "How are you?"...unless you're ready to listen to family histories and medical reports at the same time. We'll leave "the useless days off"to the stand-up comedians. Ismo is the best. Since I'm Finnish, that comment is facta.
@okiir5798 Жыл бұрын
In Finland we also say that small talk is like mincing shit ("paskan jauhaminen" in Finnish), so it is as pointless as chewing shit in your mouth. 😅

And also have to remember that everythink ever said about Finnish Small talk or lack of it doesn't apply if you are at Savo or Karelian regions aka Eastern Finland. As we easterners are really good at small talk, thought you might not get stright anwser from us sometimes...

It's not just three-letter acronyms, every two-letter combination seems to mean something. Starting from the beginning of the alphabet: AA = Alcoholics Anonymous, AB = Army Brigade, AC = Air Conditioning... No letters seem to mean anything here in Finland.

If you define a person by 1 incident... You are far worse. Everybody does mistakes in their life, if they repeat those mistakes over and over again then you can grasb what kind of person it is. BUT NEVER define from single incident.

Sounds a bit weird... "ONCE he did this..." "that's him in a nutshell" I thought the nutshell thingy was to describe how someone is most of the time, and not one single event on TV? I fell off my bike 40 years ago and hurt myself pretty bad, so I guess "self mutilation" is me in a nutshell by that definition 😁
