I have to testify. Earlier TODAY I left my Therapy session explaining how I’ve been dealing with amounts of anger im not used to and the symptoms and I ended up being Diagnosed with a form of PTSD. This anger started in may and recently came back. I almost lost my temper at CHURCH on Sunday (I am a musician) and have been having nightmares and intrusive thoughts about hurting someone who hurt me recently that really left a scar on my mind. I have felt nothing but anger and as I was driving home just now, I heard this as I was searching on the radio for something to listen to. Finding this was purely and absolutely nothing but God. God is such an intimate God and I’m so glad I discovered this.

Your statement of, "do I want to die on that hill?" was very eye opening. I might have a right to do or have something but is my Christian light truly shining on that situation?

So true - we have to be pro-life from conception till the grave. Not in order to create an unhealthy, long-term dependency, but to show that we have a commitment to support souls in need with Christ-like (sacrificial) love and aren't just carrying a political banner. I so agree that the pulpit is no place to preach (ANY) kind of politics from, creating ANOTHER gospel, which is no gospel at all. I left my church of 27 years for precisely this reason. By God's Grace I am now worshipping at an assembly where the Lord Jesus is front and centre of the ministry. And He is also the One Who faithfully helps me to curb my impatient nature.

I adopted a sweet little boy a few years back. I was 53 years old when I started to foster him, he was 3, pretty big age difference. I have had to make many adjustments. One of the biggest is having him to clean up his room. It makes me absolutely crazy to find things like paper, trash, food wrappings under his bed. He has two trashcans but this truly sets me off. I was so angry one day I just started slamming things down in his room. I actually had to leave his room to calm down. I went in my bathroom and I didn't recognize the older lady looking at me in the mirror. This type of personality is one that I've hated in individuals. I had no I idea I could be that angry. Please pray for me.

I fully enjoyed this discussion and appreciate the many good and positive things about it. I do, however, feel the need to address the mention of George Floyd. As Christians, we are all sinners, and we are called upon to hold not only ourselves accountable for sinful actions but also called to hold each other accountable as well. The unfortunate truth and tragedy of the situation is that Mr. Floyd had lived a lifetime of sinful practices that got him to that day heard and seen around the world. He sadly chose a life of drugs, alcohol, crime, and immorality over his wife and his 5 children. He abandoned his family, was a committed addict, took part in pornography and chose a life of crime. On the day he died, he was behind the wheel of an automobile with his girlfriend, high on multiple substances, including a toxicology confirmed lethal amount of fentanyl. Not only was he putting himself and his passengers lives at risk, but every other driver and pedestrian in his path. He had been reported as he had just committed the crime of stealing merchandise using a fake bank note as payment. As Christians, the idea that we can take a situation like the one George Floyd found himself in and not acknowlege, admit and address the truth of who he was and the fact that he would never have been in that position were it not for his own choices, is against everything we are called to do as honest people under the direction of Christ. We are ALL sinners, and we are ALL responsible for our sinfulness no matter what color our skin happens to be and no matter how the world decides to present us. The truth can not be denied in the face of God, nor should it be. If we are choosing to live according to the culture and it's judgment above that of God and that which we know to be true and right, we are continuing a false directive and defying our duties as Christians. None of us are innocent victims of our own choices. Christ calls us to take responsibility for our sins, learn from them, and change them. Unfortunately, George Floyd didn't do that, and he paid for it with his lifestyle and choices that day, whether excessive force was used by authorities or not. It is a shame that he had to die that day. It is also a shame that he chose to live a life of self-destruction at the expense of his 5 children and wife when he was alive. I am a single mom and have been for 10 years. My daughter's father was severely abusive toward us and was a severe addict and alcoholic. He chose drugs, alcohol, crime, and sex addiction over our baby daughter and myself. He chose to take his own life in 2016. My daughter was abandoned by her father before he chose to die and abandon her on this earth completely. I've not been able to enter into another committed relationship since due to the damage done and the fear of bringing another man into my daughter's life that could potentially fail her as her own father did. I understand that my own experiences cause me to look at the George Floyd situation differently than most, but it does help me to see the truth beyond the culture and what I'm socially "supposed" to see, and for that I am grateful. Many blessings to you all, and thank you for an otherwise positive episode of FOTF.

A prayer for post-Roe.v.Wade since it was brought up: Dear Lord, You are calling Your Church to step up. Help those who have the minds, hearts, finances, or positions to begin today, making plans for PERMANENCY in our earthly churches in order to fund pregnancy centers and develop pregnancy resource closets in our church buildings similar to our food pantries. Begin to quicken a stirring for those You will send as missionaries here at home into the urban and rural areas to plant never before seen prolife centers, funded by Your churches, to come alongside women and their preborn and newborn children and meet their needs, in the name and love of You, God. Lord, please help us, as ambassadors for You, and our churches in this nation, to know how to take steps and to take those steps toward connecting with organizations and agencies that honor You in our counties, cities, and towns in order to forage good and strong webs of faith collaboration. We need to fill gaps economically while we "teach a woman/family to fish" and get these women and families on their feet, seeing the hands and feet of Jesus up close. Help us do that, to expand what we have been satisfied with that has not reached far enough away from our own comforts, and help those who will strike the matches of this movement to begin to strike them even starting today. We know this fight is not over so renew our strength and bolster new plans to expand Your Kingdom in the United States in this area. Tell us what to do and let us obey without hesitation in order to build up the Imago Dei into the future of this country, even as it continues to hurl itself away from it. Give us the dream the will and the way for Your glory and the good of those who will see You firsthand for the first time. In the name of Jesus, Amen.

Thankful for this conversation and I'm glad she pushed them further on the pro life retort. If your only conception of being pro life is anti abortion, then you also need to research God's word and the value of the one versus the 99. Until the evangelical church is as vocal about police brutality, black maternal mortality, the plight of the migrants and extend as much compassion and passion in that regard, they will sadly continue to be seen to merely be clanging cymbals of myopia and hypocrisy.

It’s amazing how Free speech is under attack, even from those who proclaim Christianity. You felt free to post a comment and they feel free to speak on things on “Their “channel. You don’t like it unsubscribe:) I hope “Focus on the Family “ keeps doing what they are doing😁 It’s working!!!
