I have to try that dish and do have to add sausage in the containers with the eggs, and mushrooms to enhance the taste even more.

I just ordered two Lodge 14 once cast iron Mini servers just so I can try oven baked eggs. This looks like a good recipe to start with! I just love mushrooms, Baby bellas though.

I'm my experience the best vessel for a baked egg is pizza dough 😁😋 What a delicious and beautiful looking dish! I cant wait to try it. ToJo never lets me down!

How do I keep the meringue on lemon meringue pies from "sweating" a caramel color when refrigerated? #KitchenConundrums

Refrigerators create moisture which is the #1 enemy of meringue as is humidity during the summer. I never refrigerate my lemon meringue pie because of this. You could store the pie under a cake dome in a dry environment.

@@kiana6251 You're welcome! My husband's birthday is in the middle of July and he always asks for lemon meringue pie instead of cake. It's the most humid time of the year. :-/ We just have to eat it real fast! :)

Wouldn’t the hot cream cook the egg like instantly? Can the mushroom and cream be prepared the previous day and just heated up together with the egg in the oven?

This is news to me. if you put somethng on bottom shelf in the oven, surely it is lower heat right? ie top shelf is higher temp right? Anyone?? lol

Recently, "What's Eating Dan" did a video on mushrooms. It's better to dry cook mushrooms *before* adding any fat, then you can add your butter and shallots.
