When I ran, we did a similar line workout. Our coach would tie three ropes to the bummer of his car and tow us for 200 meters at various speeds. The rope would snap tight, our heads would fly back and away we'd go. Coach referred to it as towing practice designed to lengthen our stride and speed up foot to ground contact. Not sure if it was safe or legal. But I lived. Best of luck at the championships. I will be tuning in.

He does to much short stuff never see him do 300s or 250s. No strength to run a strong 200m. 15 x 60ms is good if your a 60m runner.

lol. He has very good speed endurance. 15x60 was a core session for Petro Mennea.

Value seeing peoples opinions, but I believe "no strength to run a 200m" is objectively wrong. How would I be able to run a 20.71s 200m with only a 10.5s 100m SB and no endurance or "strength". I believe there is not a big reason to run 15 x 60m if you're only a 60m runner, the volume is high and you can get more specific 60m stimulus with 8x or even less runs. With SBs of 6.81 / 10.45 / 20.71 I think it is obvious that my 30m/60m/100m and speed reserve is what needs improvement for a better 200m time right now.

@@hovejoha absolutely right. Speed reserve is key. 15 x 60 is a good session for teaching the creatine phosphate system to last longer. It helps to develop endurance of fast twitch fibers which use that source of energy.
