Greetings from Irel💚nd folks. We're loving your videos from the Camino which we just came across tonight. Firsty though, congratulations on your recent marriage and warmest best wishes for all the happy years ahead. We walked to Logronò in April of last year and the memories have come flooding back watching this😍😍 We're booked Dublin to Bilboa on Aug 31st and will resume our journey towards Santiago from Logronò on Sept. 1st. Open-ended this time so we'll see how it goes🤞🏻🤞🏻🏃♀️🏃♂️ Slán go fóil. Ciaran & Eilish Clerkin

Hello Ciaran & Eilish! Thank you so much for the kind words, we had such a great Camino journey and hope you two both do the same! An open ended trip is always the best in our opinion as you have the ability to take your time 😎 we wish you the best of luck and if you have any questions feel free to comment on them! ❤️🤙🏻

I have my fingers and toes crossed you’ll be the first young American you tuber couples not to give up at Logroño and get a train to Sarria! I have absolutely loved watching your walk so far!
@TheRoamingRosses Жыл бұрын
Keep those puppies crossed that no injuries or serious issues arise to keep us from that goal! It’s pretty wild how many people start from Sarria, but our goal is no vehicles until after Santiago de Compostela. We don’t judge other pilgrim’s Camino’s, at least too harshly 😉 (kidding). We have loved sharing our walk so far and will continue to do so!

Just for the record: Donativo means not to give nothing but rather give what you can afford or what you think it is worth in your opinion. Some pilgrims think it is cool to stay for free but it isn't!!! These places also have to pay running costs. Some pilgrims do their Camino without or almost without money and these places are meant for those rather than for well sheltered western kids! Ultreia

Just a quick comment for thinking of walking a camino: Please always give money at Donativos (donations based albergues) they depend on the money to run the albergues. So don't be a dick, leave money and not just 2 euros.

We completely agree. We always made sure to leave an adequate amount. Especially since it’s ran off of volunteers and the kindness/generosity of others. It’s surprising how many people don’t leave anything and take it as only a free place to stay, thankfully others are more generous.
