The hillarious thing is the past two assassin's creed games weren't actually assassins. Odyssey and Valhalla aren't Assassin Creed games, at least not in the sense of you being a true assassin. Sure they make some attempt to try and tie it together but it's just not the same. And Japan has ninja, which are assassins and saboteurs by definition. So there's no reason for Assassins Creed to avoid Japan. Though now they'd need to make the game better than Ghost of Tsushima or at least on par with it, and I am very doubtful they could.

Well to be honest a lot of Single player games have been released in the last decade with full content: God of War, Red Dead Redemption, Horizon Zero Dawn, Last of Us 1&2, Jedi Fallen Order, Shadow of the COlossus, The last guardian, Batman Arkham series, Tomb Raider, AC Odissey, Skyrim, GTA, Bloodborne. Some of them had DLC that actually expanded the game. In the case of AC Odyssey people actually complained that it was too big... Obviously if you look only at Multiplayer games that actually depend on constant money grabbing, then you are looking at the horrible part of gaming. But for me, that I only play SP games, PS4 is fucking heaven.

Each Witcher DLC could be a single game on their own. People begged for DLC for God of war and Fallen Order. If u fall off a cliff not on ur horse from a high distance u die and respawn, if u fall from the same distance on ur horse then no damage at all. I returned to this game on my PS5, as I abandoned it previously mid-2nd act, with Director's cut updrade and it blew me away. It is absolutely 10 out of 10 game in its final form. Lots of issues mentioned in the original review were fixed and next gen upgrade makes it amazing experience. I still believe it was 10 out of 10 game even at release but now it is one of best games ever made.

A little late to the party but I picked up a PS5 about a month ago, started playing this as my first game and was just blown away by the story, character development, and of course the art, absolutely beautiful. The combat, attention to detail were incredible. Seeing Jin clean his sword before re-sheathing it was incredible, also seeing him run this hands through the flowers as I rode on my trustee companion, seems like something I'd do. Just a piece of art work. The story had me tearing up at parts and I had to remind myself it's just a game LOL.

I really like Jin as a character. He says early on that, as a samurai, he was taught to control and suppress his emotions. That is why he's so stoic for most of the game. However, if you pay attention, he does let some of his personality slip out every once in a while. I enjoy the moments where he gets relaxed enough to joke and banter with other characters. Playing this game in Lethal Mode (especially from the start) has made the combat look and feel completely different (sword spongey) than when reviewers played it. That difficulty is now essential for making GoT one of the most immersive open world-melee combat games to ever release.

I completely agree, me and my buddy played the game at the same time and when we first saw Lethal, we jokingly told each other to start on the hardest difficulty and we'll tone it down. But when we found out that the mode wasn't bullshit, but completely fair and the problem was only how bad we were, we fell in love with Lethal mode and never turned it down even on the final boss. I wish more games would do this and incentivize learning the mechanics

Assassin's Creed is going in a different direction than what Ghost of Tsushima is so it's unfair to compare them now. Valhalla is a full on rpg while GoT is just a standard open world action game that you could actually argue stole some stuff from the original AC games but improved upon them in some areas.

I was super glad that the original game didn't have ANY supernatural stuff. Just as realistic as possible. With that said, I am looking forward to the DLC. Too many games have supernatural stuff these days. So it was really refreshing to play a game that wasn't full of all that magic and stuff. I would have liked to see more body parts being removed lol.. that one assassination is cool but I would have liked it to have that more in the regular combat.

Fun yes but challenging it's not, it's just Joe and his friends suck at games. Other Joe is only one who knows how to play games. Ghost is not challenging because it's well balanced and we have plenty of time to do perfect parry and perfect dodge. I'm person that finds soul games easy but I always struggled with parring but in ghost I was able to almost always perfect parry everything. If games do mechanics like that they should learn from ghost.

What I personally love about this game is it's approach to stealth. When other games punish you for being detected by alerting all enemies in the area, this game let's you use this in your advantage by alerting only few separated people at the time to tactically finish them off before others realize what just happened. Brilliant!
