My only complaint of Ghost of Tsushimas visual presentation is I wish they had some black level or contrast controls, because some of the indoor areas are *incredibly dark* and it's a bit hard to see what is going on. I would love to just get a tiny bit more detail in those areas. And if you bump up the in-game brightness it also increases the overall brightness which is not what I want :/

I really hope that this is gonna be the next Nixxes PC port after Horizon Forbidden West. It‘s already great on PS5 but this game pushed to the max with 4K DLAA at 120 fps would be absolutely brilliant and I trust Nixxes to not mess up the HDR and deliver the same great experience as on PS5.

Great HDR is really a Game Changer. Take for example Ghost of Tsushima, it is basically a ps4 game. Compared with HFW which has in my opinion the best resolution right now, you don't think that Ghost of Tsushima looks worse. For me it actually looks better.

From what Alex from DF has shown it‘s basically just SpecialK. I didn‘t see the AI element in it actually properly boosting specular highlights alone. White clouds would still turn out way too bright and compressed, so not much more than just a filter as it seems unfortunately…

interesting, even with the max brighness being around 1000 nits sometimes, the average nits of the whole picture only is only around 100 nits in overall bright scenes. I would love to see an energymeter react to the different nits levels.

The brightness on HDR it’s too low in this game photomode offer much better brightness for photos, better way to play is SDR

The directors' cut edition on PS5 always crashes for me, and it has never been fixed to this day. The ps4 version works just fine. I do not recommend buying the game.

Not if you have a screen like his or better, and you play in a dim room. It’s a night and day difference. But sure if you play with lights on in the room that are bright then I think a lot of people won’t see the point of HDR. HDR is for contrast / picture quality enthusiasts. If you’re more about the gameplay and seeing everything easily and bright, then SDR still works.
